Whenever I'm in Paris I'm in this hotel. It's in the Latin quarter, so you get a beautiful view of classic old French buildings. Only a few steps away from La Sorbonne and Notredame, as well as the lovely street of St. Germain. It's quaint, clean and comfortable. The rooms can be small, but for the price you're happy with... This is the second time I have stayed here. It is a lovely place to stay. Close to public transport and only a few minutes walk to the Notre Dame. Staff are very helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Lots of restaurants and cafe's nearby. Price is very reasonable.

We recently stayed at tha Hotel du College de France for the secon time. It is a lovely friendly little hotel situated in a great area of Paris. It is close to everything and there are many good restaurants within easy walking distance. The rooms are small as are most rooms in Paris but they are very clean wit a... More

Perfectly located, just a few steps from Notredame, St Germain and many other venues. This is a small hotel runned by a very kind staff. The room is a bit small but you can deal with that. I strongly suggest taking a room with balcony. Make sure your room have a refrigerator because its Paris and your wines and cheeses... More

We have stayed many times in the Hotel du College de France when lucky enough to visit Paris. It has an excellent location that is usually quiet and is maybe 250 m from the nearest Metro and ten minutes easy walk from Notre Dame. There is a good launderette within 5 minutes walk in the same small block and with... More

I have really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It has a family feel and is very cosy and quaint. The location is perfect! Just a ten-minute walk away from Notre Dame and other sites along the Seine. The price is surprisingly affordable, which allowed me to stay there for 6 days. The rooms are very clean and have a locker... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel while I attended a conference at the Nouvelle Sorbonne. We were very happy with our stay! The hotel staff were kind and welcoming, the room small but immaculately clean, bright and breezy. Although the weather was very hot, our fourth-floor room stayed cool because of the big windows and the very efficient... More

We stayed here for a week with two teens and had a terrific stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable and a balcony makes the smaller-sized rooms feel bigger. The sixth floor has the largest (superior) rooms if that is important to you -but the double room with balcony on the fifth floor where we stayed was fine. The small elevator... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
