This hotel is excellent. It’s so close to the metro and line 7 gets you to most places, Latin Quatre is a 30 min walk away, book it honestly it’s a steal. I was solo and walking around the area was really safe. Rooms are small but plenty for what you need as you will be out and about.
Excellent boutique hotel in the 13th. Not a touristy area, but that made it all the better. Really easy to access the tourist sites without being surrounded by expensive shops/cafes. Hotel staff were so helpful, we didn’t speak much French but they made it really easy for us. They pointed us to some really good restaurants and bars within walking distance of the hotel and made bookings for us.
This hotel is located a few blocks from Place d'Italie. It appears to be an older building that has been remodeled into a boutique hotel. Friendly staff meet you at check in and there is a single elevator (sometimes a bit slow) to the upper floors or stairs (which I used as they were faster). There are coffee and light snacks (croissants) available all day long and a relatively basic but healthy breakfast in the morning. At 18:30 for an hour, there is a happy hour with free wine (nothing great but quaffable). The rooms are small but quite comfortable although the view is nothing to rave about. All in all, a comfortable place to stay with some innovative aspects.
We slept in the superior room with bath. It is still a small room with only a bath (no shower). The view at the 'inner courtyard' is a kind of view against modern appartments. There is no possibility to sit outside. The hotel is just over half an hour from Gare du Nord metro station. We found the immediate area less interesting, so you need the metro all the time. The photos of the hotel on the website are especially well made. What we found particularly striking is the strong change in service. The first evening and at breakfast these were very friendly people. But at other times the opposite was the case. For example, when we left after three nights, our saying goodbye was not even answered. The breakfast is very good.
Travelled with a teen who also loved it. All staff were friendly and accommodating, we arrived well before check-in but they took in our baggage and said we could come back before check in and they'd have a room ready. Room was small but I was expecting that - it was perfectly formed; nicely furnished; quiet; immaculate and very comfortable. There was enough room to stow two suitcases, hang our clothes up etc and was perfectly pleasant. There is a cosy little lounge to spend the evening in after long days out which was very welcome and teen friendly. Hot drinks and mini croissants are available for free all afternoon with a glass of bubbly and some canapes also free in the evening. As a veggie/vegan household, we chose not to have breakfast in but found a nearby cafe of which there are many. The hotel had soya milk for us. It's a lovely walk into town or along the Seine with a metro very close by. Highly recommended.…
Could not fault this hotel even if I tried! Was a very pleasant stay at The Coq hotel. My mother and I stayed here for two nights. It was very quiet and the room was delightful. All the staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was an additional €15 pp and consisted of cold meat and cheese, egg and soldiers, croissants and chocolate croissants. Tea and coffee was a available 24/7. Would stay again!
We had a great stay here for five days. The room was well cleaned and had nice fixtures. Louis at the front desk was particularly friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations. Haribo at the front desk was a nice touch. The blackout curtains were brilliant for a good night's sleep. We had a balcony which had lovely views and was great to enjoy in the mornings and evenings. The location was fantastic, near several metro lines, good restaurants, and the Gobelins and Latin Quarter. The painting in the room was a bit creepy, and the bed was a bit hard for my liking, but those were our only minor complaints. We would stay again.
Great location very close to metro and bus. Cool and chill atmosphere at the lobby, they offer complimentory evening wine/coffe and you feel very welcomed. Friendly staff. The room is small but has everything needed, blocks the light and noise and thr bed is very confortable. Overall a great nice cozy hotel
Hotel Room: stylish, modern, well equipped and a very pleasant place to spent some time. Hotel Staff: very friendly and will offer excellent suggestions to visit or eat around the local area. Special mention to Paul who clearly was outstanding at his role! Breakfast: Excellent choice with a nice French feel. Hotel: would recommend to anyone and everyone. Brilliant place to stay. Location: close to the metro so easy to navigate around the city. About 20min walk to Notre Dame.
We loved our stay at COQ hotel in Paris. Only couple of 100 meters from Metro. We had a superior room which is not big, but very clean. We loved the free Tea and Coffee you can take your self all day long from the breakfast area. We loved the breakfast with several cheeses, yoghurt, etc. Every day there is a welcome drink free which starts at 1830 hours. There is a nice seating area where you can enjoy your drink. All in all perfect stay in Paris.
