Stayed at this hotel Nov 10 to 14. Service is excellent and the room size is much larger than regular Paris hotel. I booked ahead and the price is very reasonable. We will stay the next time we are in Paris.

This neighborhood has within walking distance dozen of theaters such as Gaite Montparnasse, Petit Montparnasse, Bobino, Edgar etc. It is also next to the streets of Rue du Montparnasse and Rue d'Odessa where the best creperies are located. 5 min walk to Montparnasse railway station and the tower. Hotel itself rates for 3 stars, room was good size, especially for...

My colleagues and I stayed here for 4 nights this past week and the hotel was sufficient for our trip. The rooms are small, but that is to be expected in Europe. The bed was very comfortable and the curtains on the window help keep all light out for a good night's sleep. The staff was very attentive and helpful...

I booked this both because I'm an Accor club member and because of its fantastic location. Very close to Gare Montparnasse, but tucked away on Gaite. I had my two nieces staying with me, and we got a large queen bed and a pull out sofabed. The room was spacious and comfortable. Nice bathroom; sink was clogged but the hotel...

We had 5 days back in Paris after 4 weeks on the road in France. When we first arrived in France we stayed in a little boutique hotel in La Madeleine area of Paris-it was a quiet area and was close to all the iconic monuments. In comparison the Mercure was in a busier area and was not close to...

I us e this Hotel as a Pied a terre while staying in Paris for short business trips (< 3 d). Very well connected to Gare Montparnasse for TGV and central Metro Connection. The place is not funny, not romantic but comfortable, quiet and convenient. professionnal staff, basic Room Service. Rue de la Gaité is a Hot spot for Theates...

The location is the best in this hotel, many restaurants and brasseries around, three metro stations very close as so as famous department stores. Rooms are clean, a little tight for a family but not too much, good bathroom. The people are very friendly at the front desk. The poor wifi is the only thing that I think they can...

Average hotel in Paris, nothing special about it. The value for money is pretty OK. The location is very convenient if you need to take the train from Paris Montparnasse station. Descent room although the design of the bathroom could be much better.

The location is of this hotel is it's biggest asset (if you like the Monparnasse area). The rooms are in desperate need of refreshment to the furnishings and stale looking walls. They are however well insulated from the hussle and bussle of the neighbourhood and if your windows are shut, you can expect a quiet and good night's rest. This...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
