Very helpful and pressional receptionists. Rooms are not large but clean and nicely furnished. I appreciated the free coffee area and spa. Very close to public métro stations Oberkampf and République. Fairly priced.
I have stayed at this hotel several times, it is a modern boutique hotel in a great location. The Hotel Mareuil is a 4 star hotel with all the amenities you would expect, I have stayed at many similar standard hotels In Paris all very good, however, for me, it is the staff that set the Mareuil apart, they are wonderful, friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms are modern and comfortable. This was my first visit to the hotel since the pandemic, the rooms were pared back, no mini bar nor lotions etc to facilitate ease of cleaning and sanitising although everything was available at reception on request. The hotel was immaculate, I felt absolutely safe and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to others. I will be returning on my next visit to Paris.
My wife and I just spent five nights at Le Mareuil and we echo all the raves about the staff. I could name names but to me, what comes across in an exceptional way is a "can-do, "happy-to-do-it" hotel culture that is shared by literally the entire staff -- from the basics like arranging for taxis promptly and reliably at any hour, to dinner tips, to small requests for extra Pellegrino in our room (supplied at no extra cost!). Everything else was just great, too: a location near la Republique loaded with good, reasonable dining options; excellent, generous breakfast; small but quite comfortable and very clean, updated rooms. We've been to Paris several times and Le Mareuil enhanced our stay like no other hotel we've experienced.
European rooms are typically smaller than American rooms but room 11 was bigger than average and made good use of the space. The entire hotel seemed to have been recently renovated from top to bottom including a large (by European standards) modern elevator. Wi-Fi was reliable but slow. Our room was functional but a bit quirky. The toilet was in a closet as you entered the main doorway and the room was on the left. The tub and sink were in the windows end of the room overlooking the street but heavy curtains could be drawn to close off the window and the bedroom. All the fixtures were very modern and worked well. Good water pressure in the rain shower. The breakfast buffet was generous and extensive and service was extensive. Most of the staff spoke good English. Ample closet space contained a save and fridge. The small desk had a power outlet and 2 USB ports to charge phones.…
A small boutique style hotel, well and nicely kept. Size of the room was ok, bathroom modern and nicely appointed. Very comfortable bed…slept like a baby. The staff sets this hotel apart. Extremely helpful and friendly. They will sit you down upon arrival and go over location and maps. They will make whatever arrangements you need, and all speak english very well. The breakfast is excellent; a wide variety to choose from, and the hours of operation are longer than most. It’s an excellent value that will set you up for the day, and it’s doubtful that one could match the cost unless satisfied with a simple continental breakfast. Internet connection is good, which is very helpful as reception out on the streets of Paris is not at all good. The location is excellent, and an easy walk to the Marias. Also a less than 10 minute walk to the Place de Republique Metro Station, which is a hub in which about 6 lines meet. Thus it’s easy to get just about anywhere in the City. (A word of caution…take care where you put your wallet and phone in the Metro…NOT in your back pocket…pickpockets are very good as I can attest). And to round it all out, the restaurant across the street is really good..Le Popette, and a reservation is necessary.…
Small boutique hotel with outstanding service. Great location close to place de la République and to public transportation. Small room but very clean and functional. Excellent breakfast buffet included.
We have been 8 days. The hotel is clean (spotless), we stayed in the handicapped room, it was spacious enough to move around, the bathroom equipped with all the necessary equipment, the was clean and tidy every morning. The breakfast was good too. Coffee or tea or water are self-service during 24 hours. I strongly recommend the hotel Le Mareuil.
Our first trip to Paris and the hotel was perfect for us. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was small but clean and met our needs in every way. The breakfast was excellent! It was a great surprise to have the Metro stops so close. Also the restaurant across the street, Picotte, is excellent!
Lovely hotel with very comfortable beds. I slept well every night evening with jet lag. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. We liked the morning breakfast spread as well. Would recommend to friends and family traveling to Paris!
We really loved Hotel Le Mareuil. Lovely staff and the location was great - very vibrant and central to a few different interesting neighborhoods and the Metro, so it was super easy to get around to everywhere we wanted to visit in the city. The included breakfast was very good and was an easy start to the day. The room itself was as advertised on the website. We were given one of the “larger” rooms with a Queen bed which was still quite small by North American standards, but was fine for us. We were not in our room much anyway, as I suspect would be the case for most visitors to Paris.
