Rooms are very small. My shower was so small that I had to step outside the shower to soap myself. WiFi is functional, but very slow at times. Everything is clean, but a bit a frayed. This is not high end luxury pampering. However, the location is excellent, next to the Luxembourg Gardens and the Latin Quarter, right on a... More

This was our first trip to Paris, and it was booked through a package with Transat. What a gift it was that we were booked into the Hotel Des Mines! Some of the front desk staff is a little reserved, but Clement (my apologies if I have misspelled your name!) was fantastic. He always had a ready smile, was helpful... More

This is a really wonderful hotel, perfect location, you can smell the flowers in the Luxembourg gardens, and the staff is very caring and attentive. We found our room to be more spacious than many European hotels. The best thing Imcan say is we were waylaid in Bayeux by an unexpected hospital stay, and even though the policy is no... More

We just had a very pleasant 5 night stay at Hotel des Mines. Its location is perfect, right by the Luxembourg Gardens and the Metro Line to and from both CDG Airport and Gare du Nord train station. There are several very good small restaurants close by. It is also on bus route 82 that goes to the Eiffel Tower.... More

2nd floor - double and 2 singles. worked well for my family. I went out and got breakfast at a bakery only a few minutes away and fresh OJ at the grocerie next door and was able to save 30 Euros/day rather than the nice breakfast offered (10 Euro/pp). Rumbles from metro - but didn't bother us. Small but comfortable,... More

Stayed at Hotel des Mines for 7 nights in September 2015. Per previous reviews, it is an excellent location for parks, historical museums and sights, access to RER and metro stops. Average quality furnishings and size of room, although housekeeping staff were attentive and efficient. Breakfast was adequate but for same price one could do as well or better at... More

A friendly 2 star hotel close to the Sorbonne and RER. Warm and cosy on a cold February night, good bathroom facilities and obviously recently updated. The only downside was the vibration and noise from the RER trains passing, presumably, under the hotel. Our room was on Level 1. A short walk from the Latin Quarter restaurants and Jardin du... I stayed in the hotel in April 2015 and had money taken from our locked suitcase, in a looked room on the 5 th floor. Over €500. The same as the guest who stayed in August 2015. The manager said they saw some strange men enter the hotel, but obviously choose not to do anything. Don't stay in this hotel!

I stayed 7 nights at this hotel. It was a great location being a 15 minute walk to Notre Dame & walking distance to most Paris sights. It's very close to a couple of metro stations and a very straightforward journey from Charles de Gaulle airport. It's a comfortable stay but not luxurious - our room was charming with a... More

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel in October 2015 for business. The room was good and the breakfast was very good. The free wifi was mostly good, but once or twice unreliable. The hotel is located near the RER B train line, which makes it quick to get to Saint Michel, Gare du Nord etc. But the problem is... More
