Hotel & Spa Saint-Jacques earns rave reviews for its charming atmosphere, with guests often remarking on the traditionally French decor and inviting ambiance. The central location is consistently praised, making it ideal for exploring landmarks. Amenities such as the spa and a well-equipped room contribute to the hotel's value, although the spa's size has received some critique.
The staff's exceptional service and the spotless condition of the rooms are highly commended. However, while the rooms are celebrated for their decor and cleanliness, some guests find them to be on the smaller side.

We were greeted very warmly and given a room upgrade. The room was big enough for two people, very comfortable and clean, the bathroom was small but also OK. It was equipped with a hairdryer, mirror, shower shampoo and soap. In the room there was the possibility to make coffee and tea and there were small cakes or macarons and drinking water. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was varied and very tasty. The service was very friendly and quick. The hotel has a very good location. You can get to the most important sights quickly. The metro stations are very easy to reach on foot. There are several metro stations near the hotel, depending on which line you take. None are more than a 10-minute walk away, rather closer, one is just across the street.

Beautiful bespoke boutique hotel in the 5th Arondissment of Paris. I would describe this hotel as "small but perfectly formed". Our room was beautiful overlooking the street. Ornate plasterwork ceiling with fresco type painting on the ceiling and one wall. Beautiful fresh cotton bed linen and nice pretty bespoke pieces of furniture. Room had tea coffee and water with little treats provided daily. This hotel has a mini spa area with steam room and sauna and also offers spa treatments at a cost. There is a Bar/lounge area opposite reception to relax and offers bar faciities also. Breakfast was continental served in the Basement - a beautiful room with little bistro tables and food was excellent fresh offering fresh fruit platters, salad, cous cous salad, meat platter, cheese platter, smoked salmon, porridge, youghurts, nuts, muesli, scrambled eggs, breads and pastries and jams. Beautiful freshly made coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Service was excellent and efficient. 5 minutes walk to the Restaurant area in the Latin Quarter where all of the restaurants offer 3 course meals from 14.50 to 29.00 excellent value and a lovely area to walk around and soak up the atmosphere.

The hotel is fantastic, elegant, clean, welcoming, friendly staff, perfect location, with restaurants, supermarkets, shops, bookstores, well located between St Michel and St Germain, next to the Sorbonne (Cluny Museum 5m Pantheon 5m, Notre-Dame 10m, Louvre 35m, walking) The area is safe with different bus stops very close to approach the main attractions, the nearest metro is 5m and other stops between 5 and 15m. It has free sauna for guests, was great after a long day, and a kettle in the room (infusions, coffee, chocolates, cream...) Breakfast, buffet type, is wonderful (cheeseses, salmon, cold meat, vegetables, eggs, blueberries, pineapple, blackberries, mango, passion fruit..., great variety of bread, croissant...etc.) and especially highlight the attention of Gabriela, charming. In short, a good option to spend a few days in Paris, would definitely repeat.

My sister and I stayed in a Premium Twin room for 8 nights in September.
We arrived a few hours before check-in time, but our room was ready. The hotel had a small elevator to bring us up to our floor. The halls are very small. As mentioned in many reviews, this hotel does use an actual key to unlock and lock the door. The room itself was very cute. We had to push the beds apart, but it was no issue. There was a desk, an armoire, build in hidden shelves, and a luggage rack. We had no problem finding spaces for our belongings. While the room was snug, there was plenty of space for the two of us.
The hotel staff was very friendly. They ask you to hand in your key if you leave for the evening. I never had an issue with them not being present when I arrived back at the hotel, but my sister sometimes arrived a little later in the evening and would need to ring the bell. I’m not sure what you are supposed to do when you have 2 people on different schedules and only 1 key, we felt safe enough in this hotel to just keep the door unlocked for the other person arriving- but we never asked the staff what to do in that circumstance.
The hotel is also in a great location. It is close enough to walk to the Pantheon, Notre Dame area, etc. The local neighborhood is very nice and felt safe walking around. It is also very close to train stations. We dined at many local restaurants. There is a bakery 1 block to the left and across the street we got breakfast at most mornings. We did not try the hotel breakfast.
We would highly recommend the hotel. However, if you are traveling with someone who is on a different schedule then you- maybe get 2 rooms or ask if there is a 2nd key!

Very friendly and clean hotel nothing to much trouble I liked the fact you had to hand your key in reception everytime you went out. Breakfast was lots of variety very pleasant. Cleaners came in everyday topped up tea and coffee, shampoo conditioner changed towels made bed.

We stumbled on this hotel when we were looking at a sister hotel in another neighborhood, and I'm so glad we did. It is absolutely charming - we had a "Privilege" room, and found it quite roomy and comfortable (less expensive rooms might be smaller). There's a lovely little bar in the reception area for guests. Staff was very good - helped us print out our tix to the Notre Dame. The best part of the hotel is the location - you are two blocks from Blvd. St. Germain, can walk to Notre Dame, very near the Metro. We loved it here (oh, and teh toiletries in teh bathroom are great!)

Always wonderful to return to Saint -Jacques- this was our 4th time and it was wonderful. Staff are friendly and welcoming, rooms are as pictured and the location is ideal. We would love to see the hotel offer travellers early access with a half day rate rather than sitting in the foyer for 3 hours after a 20 hour flight.

Our room was absolutely spotless - such a clean hotel. The view was beautiful as we looked out our windows. The staff were so very friendly, helpful, and pleasant. The location was super walkable and surrounded by great food and attractions, yet also tucked back in a very quiet area. We had no issues with noise inside or outside of the hotel. Such a beautiful stay and would absolutely come back! Oh yeah, the spa which includes a steam room, sauna, temperature therapy shower, and snow to apply to your skin after the heat therapy was such a great luxury to have. You're allowed an hour per session which was so much more than we needed. This hotel is absolutely amazing!

I stayed in on the top floor, in the corner room, and from my small wraparound balcony, views of landmarks were possible, but definitely partial. The Pantheon is just up the street to the south and is most visible. Notre Dame, to the north, is obscured but can be seen in the distance. I definitely went out on my balcony each night to take a look around, it was nice.
