Centrally located in Paris . Just a walk to Notre Dame and other famous sights. The rooms are cozy. Cleaning of the rooms is very good. Only negative is that the listeners between rooms . Several good eateries just outside the hotel and easy to find cafes where one can have breakfast

We loved the location in the Latin Quarter. It was within walking distance to many attractions. The rooms were a little small but perfect for sleeping. We had a room with a balcony which had a great view. Staff was friendly/helpful. Breakfast was good.

The Hotel Saint-Jacques is located in the Latin Quarter. It is very close to Notre Dame, the Pantheon and Saint Chapelle. You can walk to many attractions. The staff was more than friendly. We had a triple room and it was very small. There wasn't much room for our luggage. The bathroom was small. It had a very small shower.... More

Beautifully appointed Hotel ,lovely paintings on all the walls very French The room we had was on the ground floor but very small,I was under the impression we had booked a room with a balcony ,it was supposed to be a luxury twin room which I doubt if it was. We were to tired to complain having travelled all day.... More

Great hotel for a few days. Clean rooms and friendly people. We have in the past several hotels, but this was the best so far. In the middle of St German de Pre. Nice restaurants in the area. Whem we travel again to Paris, this is our hotel.

Excellent, this is the word to describe the quality of this three star hotel in Paris. I recommended it to a friend and he was delighted with the service, the breakfast delicious and the decor takes us to an imaginary trip to the Belle Epoque. If you need a hotel in Paris, remember is the Hotel Saint-Jacques. Congratulations M. Rosseau... More

This is a wonderful hotel in a great location and friendly and helpful staff. Rooms on the fifth floor have small balconies and rooms 25 and 26 have views of both the Pantheon and Notre Dame. Rooms are comfortably furnished. It's about a five minute walk to the cathedral.

This hotel is quite close to Notre Dame and the Seine and the hop on hop off buses and the batobus but is so close to the Sorbonne that the area doesn't feel touristy. There are plenty of places to eat and there are a few laundrettes close by (always a bonus). The staff are very helpful. The breakfast was... More

The hotel was small but beautiful with beautiful paintings and a 5 minute walk from the nearest metro station. The personnel very nice, helpful and polite. Countless bars, restaurants and bistros around, 10 min walk from Notre-Dame. Problem with the noise from nearby rooms, no proper sound isolation. Breakfast rather disappointing- 15 euros for croissant, cheep cheese, smoked salmon or... More

This is a great location for a classic Left Bank trip to Paris, really near the Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens, Notre Dame etc. Staff were very helpful, provided a laptop for me to do some essential work. However, I just can't give a glowing review. My attic room (quite normal in Paris, no problem with that) was dark and gloomy, decorated... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
