The size of the rooms is ridiculous, even for Paris standards. In our double room one person needed to sit on the bed for the other person to pass for the bath room in which it was literally impossible to move. The window in the bathroom was broken, the carpet was disgusting, the WIFI ridiculously slow and the housekeeping sloppy.... More

No, it's not 5 star but I didn't pay 5 star prices. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Yes, if you have a room with a view expect some noise....it's Paris....lively, buzzing and lots to do....I've never been on a city break yet where the hotel provides complete silence. The reception staff were very helpful and polite and I happened... More

Wow, this place is so bad. The hotel itself is ok which is sad as it is opposite a really bad dive bar where they put crappy furniture on the street and make noise until at least 2am every night. You can't avoid it. If you like drinking stay here because you too can join the fun in the street,... More

The hotel offered us a place to rest our weary head in a very nice location, but besides that the hotel was not much of an experience. The positive aspects of our stay was the excellent location near the heart of Montmartre. We could walk to Sacre Coeur, bistros, bakers, vegetable shops, tourist shops and the metro station in a... The hotel is located near Moulin Rouge, so this is not a recommended area for a family. Its hard to get here with heavy luggage, so I will just recomend it to backpackers. On the plus side, its near to the Sacred Heart, and all the coffee shops surrounding it. Has some creperies down the street and free wifi. The... More

The headline says it all. The location is great, with several metro stations in walking distance 5-7 min. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We arrived earlier than agreed upon, and we still got to check in. BUT, the rooms are very small and old fashioned. The closet couldt fully open the doors, because the bed was in the... More

The hotel room does not match the photos. The room was so small that the door was hitting the bed and could not be fully opened, doors on the wardrobe were missing, hair dryer was broken and corners of rooms was mold. This was mold in corridors of the hotel. After complaint the hotel staff changed the room, without apology... More

After spending time in the comfort hotel in Manchester and being very impressed my husband thought the one in Paris would be a great way to celebrate my 60th birthday. Big mistake!!! The hotel is grotty to say the least! The room was tiny and was very damp you had to squeeze in the door as the bed only allowed... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
