The hotel is well located, the staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast is decent. Rooms are, well, Parisian. There is also an open area / courtyard which makes for a nice seating area. Would definitely stay here again.

Really nice hotel, in a fantastic location. Easy walk to the louvre area, great shopping all close by. Also found some really nice places to eat in the area too. Room was small but not tiny, expected for Paris! Hotel and room was nice and clean and helpful staff. Would stay here again, great value!

This is a very clean and well kept hotel although the room we were in was very small with just enough room for one person to walk round the bed. We were disappointed that the advertised mini bar in the room did not contain alcohol, only soft drinks but this along with the provided tea and coffee was replenished daily. The air conditioning was quiet and coped adequately with the 36c outside temperatures. WiFi was excellent with coverage throughout the hotel. The daily breakfast layout was good with a four hour time slot to use it. Stocked with a large variety of food for all tastes this cannot be faulted and possibly the best breakfast layout of any hotel I've stayed in. Overall it is a lovely hotel with comfortable beds, good sound insulation allowing for a great nights sleep plus all staff were friendly and very helpful.

Tiny room, barely walk, window to some middle court house, no view. This is the small and affordable hotel in Paris located at central. Walking distance to central shopping districts, the louvre, Eiffel tower... the hotel lobby is very chic design.

Dear Ikpoli, We thank you for taking time to share your experience at the Mercure Paris Opéra Garnier ! It is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback concerning our hotel lobby and location. Moreover, regarding the size of the room, we recommend you to book a Privilege or a Suite Privilege room for you next stay with us. They are much biger and has additional services included (minibar,slippers...). Also, at your check-in do not hesitate to ask us which kind of view (court, terasse, train station Saint-Lazare or street Isly) would you like to face regarding disponibilities. Thank you again for sharing your positive comments and remarks, Best wishes, Ambre - Front Desk

Myself and my friend went on a trip to this ‘nice’ hotel. Upon arrival I was very impressed with the hotel as a whole. However, that night is when the NIGHTMARE began. The next morning I woke up with 31 bites on my legs that have now been confirmed by a doctor as BED BUG bites. After contacting the hotel about this problem they have been nothing but unhelpful and unapologetic about the situation. They are now stating that they have supposedly had the detection results and their hotel does not have bed bugs. BUT this can not be the case as my friend also has several bed bug bite marks on her which occurred during our stay. This suggests to me that they have come from one place that DISGUSTING HOTEL!!! Last Wednesday the deputy manager of this hotel offered myself and my friend a full refund but is now not responding to any of our emails about this. I am exceptionally disappointed as this was not cheap and has ruined our experience of Paris. Since coming home from that infested hotel myself and my friend have experienced nothing but pain and discomfort due to these bites. I will be taking this story to the press and selling my story to prevent anyone else harm!

Very small boutique hotel We stayed here for 6nights great locations, near the opera and main shops. reception were great and friendly. The rooms…..are very very small. I was a single person in a double room and had no floor space for my suitcase. It was really frustrating staying 6 nights. If you are planning to stay for only weekend then I would recommend. My suitcase had to remain closed and up on the side of my bed. No room to move around the room. Definitely not suitable for families. The bed are ok not the comfiest the shower hand held had some pressure over head shower had no pressure. The did not offer any amenities, I needed shower cap and was told they don’t stock any more.

Response from Mercure Opera Garnier, Other at MERCURE PARIS OPERA GARNIER HÔTEL & SPA
Responded Jul 23, 2023
Dear Michlaz21 Thank you very much for sharing your experience at our hotel. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our great location, close to the opera and main shopping areas, and the warm welcome from our reception team. We are sorry to hear that the size of the rooms did not meet your expectations and that this was a source of frustration during your six night stay. Your comment about insufficient space for your suitcase in a double room is noted. During your next stay, we invite you to book a Privilege room or a Privilege Suite which, in terms of surface area, would better meet your expectations. As for the beds and shower pressure, we also take your feedback into consideration, and we will endeavour to improve these aspects to offer our guests a more comfortable stay. In terms of amenities, we regret that we were unable to provide you with a shower cap during your stay. We will be reviewing our stock to ensure that we have sufficient products to meet the needs of our guests. Thank you again for sharing your experience. If you plan to stay in Paris again, we would be delighted to welcome you back and provide you with a more satisfying experience. Yours sincerely Lucie- assistant reception manager

Nice well located hotel. I really appreciated the care of staff after I g hi ad a fall and hurt my ankle they were obliging with ice and extra pillows. The only disappointment was a night cap we had in the hotel ‘bar’. It was pretty much mini bar prices and lacked any atmosphere.

Bad start to Great stay at Mercure Paris opera Garnier hotel. I called the Accor hotline at 0033172180285 talked with Zai , she committed 2rooms confirmed but book only one room . And two rooms at ibis, big blunder .. Imagine how we felt after arrival at Mercure and was informed only one room reserved. Luckily wonderful and Patient Morgane able to fix it by booking the 2nd room next 2 night. While husband and son had to stay first night other hotel . mr Leni Terrasse very understanding and Patiently showed me the choices of room the next day for husband move in . ms Chau and Matilde always with a smile in assisting us . Mr Luis very kind in suggesting tours and restaurants, and finally Mr Boubaker always ready with a kind greeting and assist in anyway he can even holding the elevator buttons for us . Truly the hidden Gems of Accor Mercure opera hotel. All the above mentioned staff of Mercure Opera Garnier Made us forget the bad and traumatic experience of no hotel rooms made by Accor hotline staff Zai. They show true Parisian kindness and always ready to assist especially tourist like us who were put at a disadvantage. The Hotel very clean and comfortable and a stone throw away from Printemps, gallerie lafayette and Gare st Lazare . Highly recommended!!!

The Mercure Paris Opera Garnier is in a superb location -- on a small street near many attractions and transit connections. Metro, RER, bus, train are all a couple minutes walk away. The Louvre is a pleasant 15-20 minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are on the small side but this is typical for Paris. They are very comfortable and well-appointed with a safe, kettle with tea and coffee, good Wi-Fi, extremely good soundproofing and black out curtains. Plus the bed is great. You will sleep well here! Small quibble that the TV is a little old and there are not many channels in English but well, you are not in Paris to watch TV. The breakfast buffet is in a small room, and it can get busy, so my tip would be to avoid peak times. The staff at the breakfast are extremely kind and accommodating. They took my egg order each morning with a smile. The food is good and it's worth the price (21 Euros per person, young children are free). The lobby is very nice and the courtyard is calm and peaceful. if you need to chill out for a bit, it's an nice environment to do so, with fresh flowers and comfy couches. The staff set this hotel apart, each interaction with staff was great, whether it was the cleaners, kitchen staff, or front desk agents. Everyone gave us an incredibly warm welcome. This is a gem of a hotel and I'd stay here again on another visit to Paris.

I am still staying in this hotel when this review is being written. Just came back from a long day of shopping to find out that my room has been entered. Bec my used towels have been replaced. I have put up the "do not disturb" sign on the door knob before leaving the hotel as i have valuables around the table and i am im a rush to leave the room in the morning. Having stayed in hundred of hotels worldwide, i understand that by putting up this sign, it means no employees of the hotel is to enter the room and this is for both privacy and security reasons. When i approached the receptionost for an explanation, i was informed that it is a standard procedure for them to enter the room eventhough this sign is put up by the guests. My question is simple: then why should guests even put up this sign if it doesnt serve its purpose...... He was not able to asmwer me. This hotel has greatly breached the basic security and privacy of the guest. Will not recommend this hotel.

Dear Kengyuilim, Thank you for taking the time to write down a review regarding your stay in our hotel. I was indeed aware of this situation as soon as you mentioned it to the receptionnist because your satisfaction is really important to all of us. During your conversation, she explained the "do not disturb" sign signify we can not enter in the room while you are inside in order to respect your privacy but it does not mean "do not enter". As a complementary information, she detailed it was our procedure to enter each day in the room for security reason, to make sure all of our guest is alright. We understand it can be surprising as from an hotel to another one, the delay to check the guest's safety can vary from each day to every three days. Be sure the privacy and the security of our guest is our main goal. That's why we took the decision to verify the safety of our guests each day due to past incidents. If one of our guests do not want a staff member to enter at all in the room, it has to be upon request but we do accept it. The receptionnist gave you my name to discuss this situation with a manager during yor stay. I was really looking forward to meet you and even tried to contact you everal times by telephone, without success, to make sure you enjoy the following days. Please note I remain at your entire disposal at h1913-om1@accor.com should you require any additional information and to discuss yor experience among us. We feel sorry your stay did not meet your expectations due to this event and we all hope to have the opportunity to welcome you in the future. Sincerely, Carla - Front Desk Assistant Manager
