So first impression of the outside was very concerning a very narrow entrance to the very small reception. The lady that checked us in was very polite and helpful. Our room was very small but clean and comfortable, however you had to go sideways through the door to the bathroom as so narrow and you could open the window and look out while sat on the toilet! On having a shower on the first night there was no hot water. We were told it would be fixed in an hour, however we were due at the Moulin Rouge ( very convenient for this venue as literally just round the corner) so a cold shower it was. Breakfast was like being at Faulty Towers! A very tiny room with 5 small round tables each with 2 chairs. Breakfast was cooked in the same room in a tiny space on I can only assume a portable stove. Your choice was made the night before and as you walked in were asked your room number. The sheet you filled in was then looked at and this is where the fun began! Any pasties you ordered, off they would go to the bakery ( where I have no idea) down the road I believe! You were left waiting until they returned from the bakery. I was served pancakes before my egg and bacon. It was all very bizarre. At 15 euros per person was to be quite honest a joke. This hotel is clearly not set up for breakfast! I would stay at the hotel again for its location but forget breakfast.

Clean and decorated with care with a nod to the history of the area. We didn't leave Montmartre, the location cannot be beaten, all the amentities of an active Parisien neighbourhood along side tourist destinations. Yes the room is a bit small (but you're in Paris so get used to it) but for the price we were very, very happy and will definitely be back.

We very much enjoyed staying at this hotel. Very well situated, great restaurants within walking distance and of course around the corner from Le Moulin Rouge. The rooms are very comfortable, quite small, like you would usually expect in Paris, but clean. The 24 hour coffee/tee available is fantastic. I would absolutely return to this hotel if we need to be in this area of Paris again, thank you for having us and for being so friendly

This hotel at best is a 3* no chance it is a 4*. The room was cold throughout our stay. The hotel turn off or reduced the heating when they please. Made for a very unpleasant stay. The room was also dusty and they also put two single beds together and covered it with a thin sheet which meant you could not sleep in the middle of it. I will not return to this hotel.

Unfortunately due to a cancelled flight we only got to stay here one night instead of two. However, hotel was lovely, great location and great size room. The staff were fantastic, communication before and during our stay was excellent and they were so helpful. Will stay again upon our return to Pais.

This is a great little hotel in a perfect location in Pigalle for the Moulin Rouge. I stayed with my sisters. The hotel was clean, felt safe and the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. There is a 24hour tea/coffee room which was useful. I would definitely recommend, it had a nice feel to it. Would definitely stay here again.

Whilst on a business trip to Paris, I needed to spend one night there. Our booking engine suggested this hotel. And I was not disappointed at all. Yes, the room was small, but so are basically all hotel rooms in Paris. It was very nicely furnished, and the bathroom was very nice too.

The staff were very friendly, and attentive.

The area isn't the best in Paris, but it offers extremely nice restaurants and bars.

So, overall, I would visit this hotel again without any hesitation.

I read the first several reviews, looked at the pictures and thought this should be a charming hotel in Montmarte. WRONG. First it is not in Montmarte but a very seedy area of Paris , according to cab driver. Sandwiched between 2 cheap souvenir shops reminiscent of the jersey shore you can barely find the entrance. This place is dollhouse tiny. As my nice cab driver dropped me off I immediately felt ill at ease in the area where seemingly several drunks and homeless people abound. It was also a very dirty smokey area of Paris.
A day previous to arrival I had called the hotel and asked for early check in which I was told they would accommodate for an extra 80e. Although a bit steep I didn't want to walk around for 6 hours till 2pm check in. I also asked for airport transfers and was quoted 75e one way. I opted for a cab 50e! When I finally arrived at the front desk the beginning of the horror began. Manning the front desk are the owner Manuela Le Squara and her son Jean Cristophe. I found out from trip adviser. The owner was the rudest nastiest person I ever encountered in France and this was my 6th trip there. I tried speaking to her in French and she retorted that she spoke English. She immediately told me I could not have early check in nothing was available. When I told her I had called previously from the states she dismissed my claim. Not wanting to start an argument I left my bag and roamed the streets.
When I returned my bag was already in my room. While at the front desk to finally check in she wanted to charge me the full stay. I told her I probably would only be staying 2 days because I was traveling solo and did not feel safe in the area. She started another argument and demanded I pay for the total stay upfront. Now legally and I checked this out, they can only charge u one extra day that u stay if u check out early. She also repeatedly charged my credit card different amounts even though I had enough available on my card to stay a month. She said she does this because she has problems with American credit cards! Go figure? After charging 4 different amounts the card company suspected fraud and closed the card and would not let any more transactions thru. I was livid.
Now let me also add I took this trip solo for rest and relaxation after taking care of my 2 very ill parents for 4 years who recently died. After dealing with this hotel ordeal I was ready for the grave! For the next 3 days whether it was due to stress and /or the terrible initial confrontation from the owner I was so ill I couldn't leave the hotel for 3 days and when I was able I came home to the states.
When booking. com tried to resolve the issue the owner said she didn't speak English. When booking asked who she was she said the receptionist. When booking asked for the manager or owner she said they were not available. Booking.com told me they had problems before with her.
The night before I checked out I called down to the front desk that I was leaving in the morning and to prepare the bill I was coming down to pay. I spoke to the son. Twenty minutes later I went down and a part time front desk worker was on.....a very nice person and one of only two other workers at the hotel! The bill was for three nights the total number of nights I stayed. I was pleasantly suprised until I got home and found they had charged 3 extra nights! Deceitful ....sly. ...and slick! Not only will I never return to this hotel I will never return to Paris which has always been my favorite place in the world. A few more facts about the hotel.....it really is more like a bed and breakfast. The breakfast definitely skip. The breakfast is inadequate for the price and the breakfast room is smaller than the regular hotel rooms. The NOISE...another disaster. I asked for a quiet room. Well there are none. Motorcycles screeching, people laughing yelling all night. There was also a smell to the room that was weird and may have contributed to my illness. I don't know but it was not pleasant. Also all the lights in the room are controlled by a card at the room entrance. So if u r with someone and have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night u may wake them in addition to stubbing your toe.
I rarely rarely write reviews but if I could help someone not waste any money, I'm glad to help.

People if you really want to pay much for a terrible experience you will definly check this hotel out. we arrived to the hotel. we went to the reception and saw many many luggages and thought what have happend here. we waited for 20 minutes then it came down a girl. and helped us. we couldnt check in so we have to leave our luggage as the other people. After 4 hour waiting we could now check in on the hotel. I had payed the hotel on the website Hotels.com and the guy working their said you have to pay here. After 20 min arguing he decides to call that girl that worked there. And she said they have already payed. Incompetent staff. Anyways we went to our room. and 2 min later he came out and started to ask many things that he was no need to. we felt followed all the time and not secure. i checked out after 1 our. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!

We only stayed two nights and our room was adequate for our needs but we would have struggled had we had more luggage as there was only a tiny half length wardrobe, no drawers at all. The bottom part of the wardrobe space was filled with a fridge which of course is useful for a weeks stay. I would certainly ask for an upgrade, I believe the upper rooms were more spacious. I must say that all the staff there were very nice and very helpful indeed and I'm sure they will assist you wherever possible. Enjoy Paris, we loved the location and quirkiness of the hotel.
