Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.

I stayed there 2 nights mainly due to the location as I needed to be near Les Halles. Location was great right next to Le Louvre and the main shopping areas. Hotel reception and communal areas very tired and in need of refurb and my room wasn’t ready on arrival despite asking me

This is a nice and good hotel in the centre of paris nearby the metro and the scene. Rooms are always better on photo but were clean and well maintained. The breakfast was simple but good and complete.

Perfect service and location. Very clean rooms and excellent breakfast. We will return to this hotel. We recommend the Superior Chambre that has a good size and a big bathroom. Very near to the metro and to a bus station that takes you directly to montmatre. You can walk to

Overall, for the money, this is very reasonable and terrific place to stay. Book as early as you can to avoid disappointment that you may not get room you were hoping for. Hotel is within very short walk to Louvre-Rivoli Metro stop - which itself is only one stop away from

Yes it was air conditioned and worked just fine. It was very hot when we were there and the hotel was very comfortable.

We took the metro to the Louvre – Rivoli metro stop. Then it is a 3 minute walk to the hotel past tourism information office towards the river. Really easy. If you have a question once you come up from the metro the tourism office can answer your questions. We also bought catacomb tickets there.

BEST TRANSPORTATION: We made advanced arrangements for a shared shuttle over the internet with Viator tours, as opposed to the train (on which we'd have to lug our baggage around) or a taxi (which was more expensive.) We paid about $55.00 for two, but expect some variation dependent upon when you go. The only problem we had was that there was a street concert going on at the time of our arrival and--due to terrorism precautions--streets were blocked off and the shuttle driver couldn't drop us off closer than two blocks from the hotel. Of course, this would have been true to a cab, too. To help in your geographic orientation, the hotel is across a narrow street from the side wall of a huge church: Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois. Also, for our return trip to CDG airport, the hotel arranged for a very satisfactory shuttle service. So, you might check with hotel to learn whether they can arrange for your pickup at CDG.

Only when you book a room that includes breakfast. I believe the breakfast rate when we went there was €11 so we just skipped it and bought breakfast at a nearby boulangerie.

Dear Don, Thank you for your interest in our hotel, I fully understand that words as double bed/ queen bed can be misleading. In our Classic rooms you can either have two separeate beds or a double bed. In that case it is not like the room 502 I am afraid, here double bed is two seprarate beds pushed together but normally you are not to feel it as there is a zip or buttons that are pulling the matresses together. I hope I have answered your question and if you need further information, feel free to contact us. Sincerely The Desk- Cylannie
