My daughter foung the hotel as she was visiting and recommended it. We didn't regret to stay there. We have been just a bit unlucky with very noisy neighbors for 2 nights, banging doors and talking loud in the middle of the night, but that can happen in every hotel. Otherwise this hotel is really quiet for Paris town center...

Just know before I continue that I'm pretty picky about my hotels, I live in NYC/Manhattan, and have traveled the world on business and for pleasure and typically stay in 4 star / 5 star hotels. I know a dump from a palace and this hotel was certainly way better in person than any of the photos I've seen, and...

You really can't beat this location, at the end of the street from the Pompidou Centre, in the heart of the Marais, only a short walk to the Louvre, Notre Dame and Eiffel Tower. Friendly staff, excellent prices, cute roooms which are reasonably spacious for central Paris and ours had stable-like wooden beams.

The best location in Paris for sightseeing, shopping, clubbing and close to the fashionable district of Marais. You can almost walk anywhere but this charming hotel is also well served by public transport (metro and buses). Our room was spacious (but not enormous), clean, well appointed and very quiet even if it was facing the street side. Only drawbacks: a...

Cute, ideally located boutique style hotel - literally 5 mins walk from Chatelet les halles metro stop. Rooms are a little small however spotlessly clean and very quiet. An added bonus was the ability to open the window for some fresh air and relief from central heating. Reasoonably priced and perfect for a short stay in Paris

This hotel is located 5 minutes walk from chatelet les halles - a major hub from where you can get trains to all parts of Paris. The precise location is a side road next to the Centre Georges Pompidou, which is a large museum and cultural centre which one should visit when in Paris. My room was very small, and...

My husband and I spent three nights at this hotel. It was a little difficult to locate - it sits on a small sidestreet and the entrance is not very clearly marked. However, we found it to be quiet and comfortable. It is conveniently located near a Metro stop and not far from the Seine. Overall, a pleasant little place...

Sweet boutique Hotel a stone's throw from the Centre Pompidou. This hotel is quiet, clean, has lovely rooms with tile bathrooms, free wi-fi and use of computer in lobby. The help are unbelievably helpful from making reservations to giving suggestions and directions. The location is close to everything in the Maris and has the advantage of being close to the...

Husband and I visited Paris for total of five days to enjoy the food, shopping and some sights. If you're looking for a 'foodie' area, boutique shopping and easy access to great sights, you cannot beat the Marais area. Proximity to Rambuteau and Hotel De Ville metros means journeys to other areas are quick and convenient. Hotel is located in...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
