We stayed here for four nights in November in a room on the 3rd floor. It was a wonderful stay- some of the best sleep we've ever had in a hotel. The hotel was very easy to access from Gare de l'Est (only one change, then a 2 minute walk from the Metro stop). The hotel staff was very friendly,...

Right in the heart of everything, Hotel Beaubourg was the perfect home base for a visit to Paris. The hotel staff -- to a person -- was thoughtful and accommodating. They patiently humored my efforts at speaking French, and were equally happy to speak English (fluently). Bed was comfortable, room immaculate, shower hot and high-pressure. Two bonuses: the breakfast includes...

The lady at the reception is very friendly, but it would be nicer to explain the fee when we pay while checking out. I emailed them via booking.com but didn't get any respond after 22 hours. The info that they told me about transportation was wrong. I was asking how to get there from Orly airport. They told me "from...

The Hotel is well located in the Marais District. In a side street directly opposite the Pompidou Centre. 5-10 min walk to either Hotel De Ville Station or Chatelet Les Halles Station (which is located in a Shopping Mall) There are two supermarkets within 100m. The main street shopping area and restaurants is about 400m. The room was ok in...

Over the years, we have stayed here several times. The hotel never disappoints. You can't beat the location, it is only steps away from the Centre Pompidou. While the streets are busy during the day, it is quiet at night and it does not get busy until about 9am. Also, the windows appear to be soundproof. The area is very...

Seven nights in Paris staying at the Hotel Beaubourg. Excellent location on a quiet street on the edge of the Marais, close to many sights, the metro, restaurants and clubs. Lovely, comfortable rooms, sizable by Paris standards and reasonably priced. Ample and appetizing continental breakfast. Welcoming 24 hour staff. Particular thanks to Monsieur Kais. All in all I don't think...

Obviously, location but my description is "clean, efficient, attractive and courteous". Got the breakfast (we _paid_ for it so my wife HAD to get up) and felt it was a very fair hotel breakfast in quality and selection. I have the impression that by Parisian standards our room was quite decently sized and that should appeal to Americans. Only about...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
