Enjoy your stay in Paris!
Great location close to the Eiffel Tower, easy walking to and thru Champs-Elysees, 7th, 8th and 15th arrondissements. Close access to the metro too. We could see the Eiffel Tower from our bedroom window AND from the bathtub. The BEST welcome to Paris we could ask for. Staff was very nice and helpful. Always greeted with a smile and a bonjour! Room was a tad small and only 1 lift, but that is better than no lift. Area felt safe and close distance to the Rue Cler, and many patisseries.
We visited at end of feb beginning of march. As soon as we walked in we were blown away. It doesn’t lie when it says the eiffle tower is literally 2 minutes away. We had a semi view of the tower on our balcony. But anyways staff were lovely friendly and always willing to help with recommendations and guiding us around the city. Thank you very much and we will definitely be back soon!
We had 2 rooms in this hotel (as we are a family of 5) and our stay was great. Location was close to things we wanted to see as first time visitors to Paris and the staff was excellent to us, answering questions and getting us transportation when we needed it. No complaints at all and we hope to return to Paris again.
Just stayed 3 nights at Le Derby Alma. Booked as party of a package through Thomas Cook. The hotel lobby is very chic, with macarons on arrival whilst we waited to check in. It is in a great location, 5 minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower, 15 minutes walk to the Arch du Triomph and the Champs Elysees with its designer ships, restaurants & bars. Our room was small (no upgrade for us even though the hotel seemed very quiet!) room 406 had a view over the street with a Juliette balcony. No chocolates left in our room on arrival but never mind! It was decorated in dark blue and gold, which is lovely but not practical to be able to see in! With only minimal mood lighting around the bed, it was really hard to see when getting ready, using the dressing table & using the full length mirror. Definitely needed a floor lamp to give a better level of lighting when required. The bed was comfy, pillows comfy. Room was on the warm side but had AC controls that seemed to work ok. Not too noisy to leave running at night. The bathroom was ok with new towels each day. However the bathroom door showed signs of damage, paint touch up needed. Wardrobe small, only 5 or 6 hangers provided and a single shelf. With no bedside drawers this made putting clothes away a bit difficult. Breakfast provided cereals, pastry selections, toast, jams, crepes and pancakes. Small selection of streaky bacon, rubbery sausages & mushy scrambled egg! The breakfast room was pleasant enough but I felt needed some music playing to create an atmosphere. Ordering tea & coffee took a while! Overall I would recommend for its location and value for money. The sweets by the lift were a nice touch - lovely toffees and Eiffel Tower jellies!! Thanks for a good stay. …
This hotel is something special, very close to the important part of Paris; all was cared for down to the smallest detai. Very clean and modern. The staff was very willing to help, especially Vlada the girl from reception, she was very helpful with suggestions about places to visit and what we should try, always with a smile! She also could speak English very well, and it's not taken for granted. So thank you very much Derby Hotel for this experience.
Best stay! Hidden gem few mins from Eiffel Tower! Can highly recommend. Staff are so accommodating. Rooms are a good size. Not sure they would have a great view of the Eiffel Tower but that doesn’t matter as you a few mins walk away. Rooms are clean and good size. Well decorated too. We actually asked to move one of our rooms and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. They are a massive credit to the hotel. We are so happy we chose this hotel!
This was a nice quaint hotel, we were pleasantly surprised uponn arrival. The staff are very nice and accommodating assisting us by providing European charging adapters for our electronics. We were even greeted with a personalized note and a box of chocolates in our room.
Right in the heart of Paris you will find this hidden gem. Well appointed with the BEST hot water I’ve ever come across, delicious simple breakfast, and the friendliest, most accommodating staff anywhere in the world. Yes the rooms are compactly designed but who comes to Paris to sleep?! I could legitimately write an essay about how perfect this place was. Looking at the Eiffel Tower outside my window every day was mind blowing. With convenience stores, multiple restaurants and cafes on the same block AND a delicious boulangerie selling outstanding pastries..what’s not to love? This hotel should be in the top 5 in Paris if it isn’t already - hidden gem
We were at the hotel for a few days and it was an unforgettably good experience. Mouna and all others employees were very affectionate. We feel like a family. Thank you Mouna! Wherever I return to Paris I will stay there again. The hotel is a walking distance to the tower-two blocks, 7 minutes. All employees were friendly every single day. Rolando & Sylvia
It was brilliant room 505 is the the one with the beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower, where i proposed to my girl friend and the room was all organised by the loverly staff. I would highly recommend this hotel as it is a two minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and would recommend the restaurant across the road, it was amazing and recommended by the staff.
