The location is very great: right next to metro and there are many restaurants/shops nearby. The soundproof is quite bad so we can usually hear the noise from the street and around. One receptionist is quite rude and annoying, others are friendly. However we mostly stay outside so it's no big deal. We were expexting a mini fridge based on... More

Location is great in some ways as it's just opposite the moulin rouge but it is also surrounded by sex shops and the area is a bit seedy - however 100m towards the centre of Paris or up the hill to Montmartre and it's a different world. Montmartre is great... Full of character, lots of good value places to eat... More

I tought this was a 3 stars hotel... When I arrived there, they gave me a room in the basement. It was like a cave. I asked to the lobby to change my room ASAP. They did it after several minutes of arguing. The new rom was barely acceptable (not very clean, and cold). Once I got back to the lobby,... More

Did not expect anything more really, was ok, bit old fashioned but for the price I can't moan about it really as we were out sightseeing all days. Close to moulin rouge and basilic - which was our favourite spot for walks in sun it was bit noisy in evening but bear in mind that was lmost opposite moulin rouge!... More

Pros: This is a very reasonably priced hotel, very handily placed for the Moulin Rouge as mentioned and the buzz of the area from Blanche to Pigalle (the red light district) with its exciting bars, restaurants and other adult entertainment, Close to both Blanche and Place fe Clichy metro. Reasonable sized rooms (for Paris) , clean and surprisingly not noisy... More

We stayed here for two nights to see the rugby world cup warm up game. Travelled on Eurostar to Gare du Nord. The hotel is 100 metres from the Blanche metro station which is on a direct line from the main station. The metro only has one change to the Stade de France so the position of the hotel was... More

The nitty-gritty details: The room was a good size for Paris where space is a high commodity. The bed was comfortable, my bathroom and room in general were spotless, and the furnishings were not what I call stand-out. The lift is extremely small, probably the smallest, thinnest lift (elevator) I have ever seen. I heard a little commotion outside my... More

Its perfect for a base stay as you couldn't get a better location. The beds were comfy and the rooms were clean but don't expect a smile from the staff or any luxuries. Me and the girlfriend had absolutely no trouble from the sex show touts, just use your God given common sense and politely say "no thank you" A... More

Hotel is well located just in front of Mouline Rouge. Unfortunatly manager attending the hotel was not the best in town... I asked to pay with Amex and he refused even if they should accept it. Elevator is like a toy. Only two people can go inside, or one people and one luggage. Too much expensive for service offered. Rooms... More

I was worried that the night-time noise would be a serious problem, but even though we were on the first floor facing the street, we were able to sleep. Street noise is almost continuous, though, and there are two periods when there is loud boisterous talk - about 1:30am and 2:30am, at least the week we were there. The location... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
