Great charming hotel with warm welcome, cosy atmosphere, good accommodation. Excellent location, 100m away from the jardin du Luxembourg, vavin metro station. The wifi does not work so well in the room, upper floor. Great value / price ratio.

Dear Parchambault, Thank you for taking time to write a nice comment about our hotel. We are so pleased that you enjoyed the good location (nearby luxembourg garden, Notre Dame de Paris...). We appologize for the inconvenience of wireless access caused by the power failure but it has been fixed since then. Looking forward to welcoming you next time in... More

My husband & I stayed at the Danemark Hotel Paris for three nights at the end of the May. We loved this hotel and can't fault it- perfect location for City centre (Vavin Metro station just round the corner). We had a room on the 5th floor - very clean, bed extremely comfortable and all reception staff friendly and helpful. We have been coming back to this hotel for many years - always friendly and extremely helpful staff/manager, copious breakfast, good-sized room with spacious bathroom (very practical big new window). always good internet connection. Excellent location with easy access to two Metro lines, restaurants, cafés,bakeries and a superb ice-cream parlour! And only very short walk to nearest car park.

This is the second time we stayed in this hotel and I liked it even more. The location is perfect...very close to Montparnasse, Jardin du Luxembourg, St Germain des Pres and a great area to walk around and explore. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, the bed's fantastic and our stay was very restful. Merci!

Friendly, helpful staff. Really nice, comfortable clean room. Excellent location close to the metro station and lovely area. Had to hold the shower up yourself and didn't have a 'marble bathroom with robes' as described on booking.com.

We stayed here for 3nights for a short break in Paris and came across this hotel on booking.com. The location of the hotel is great- near to Vavin metro station, close to lots of cafes, boulangeries and restaurants! Found a really good boulangerie on a cute street by the Luxembourg Gardens. The Superior room we booked is smaller than uk... More

There is no hanging shower to wash you hair. In the small and warm rooms you can't open your window cause smoking busses are driving treu the narrow street (very noisy). The airco is only working when they want.... only in the summer. Loads of dirty spots on the carpet in our room. The breakfast is very poor. We left... More

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights this summer. I found the location to be great - right by the Luxembourg Gardens and within walking distance from the downtown core of the wonderful city of Paris. The room was small and so was the elevator but then all rooms are much smaller in France than what we're used to... More

I was more than happy with the choice of this little hotel, situated in the centre of Paris, with the fabulous Luxembourg Gardens at one end of Rue Vavin and Ave du Montparnasse, with its infinite variety of cafés and restaurants at the other. The twin room was clean, comfortable and big enough for two people and luggage. The bathroom... More

Just back from a week in Paris, and we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Danemark. The location is quiet, but a stone's throw from Montparnasse, with lots of restaurants to choose from. It's also a short walk to the Luxembourg Gardens and perhaps ten or fifteen minutes from Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Saint Sulpice ... And across the garden from the Boulevard... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
