I have stayed in this hotel 4 times and every time has been a pleasure. Last time in a rainy gloomy late evening in November 2106, I had a beautiful room at the attic with old beams. I went out, bought some delicious take away and came to the warm and cosy room, had a glass of wine with my...

Stayed in this hotel for a week last year. Forgot to review until now. Located right in the center of Latin Quarter, about a block from the university of La Sorbonne. Very close by and a short walk to the subway (Odeon metro & Luxembourg RER w/ direct line to CDG airport) and Notre Dame. The hotel was very clean...

.This was a second stay at this conveniently situated hotel for my wife and I, both pensioners. Unfortunately I had been mugged upon leaving the RER station at Luxembourg . Whilst I was not hurt, my wallet containing euros, sterling and 3 credit/debit cards was stolen The receptionist and manager could not have been more helpful and sympathetic. We were directed to...

The hotel is in excellent position. It has spacious rooms and halls, and it offers everything a 4 star hotel should offer: clean rooms, employees who speak english.... For the breakfast there is choice, but my room had an unpleasant odore of closed and wet - maybe because of the position - it was situated on ground floor - but...

It's the oddest thing, I just cant get enough of this little, out of the way hotel. As I travel the world I usually stay at places like The Four Seasons or Mandarin. Yes, I am a hotel snob. A few years back fate deposited me at the door of the Select Rive Gauche and it's been an ongoing love...

Stayed here for 5 nights at end of Sept. 2016. Afraid of being in a shoebox for that many nights so we booked a slightly larger room. It was great and well worth the money. Very modern room with unique bathroom arrangement that was quite fun. Everything was designed so well that we didn't feel at all cramped. Plus our...

The hotel has a great location, around the many pubs, resturants, the most Parisian tourist sites can be reached on foot in about 15-20 minutes. I would definitely visit again in the near future. I got a better room than had booked! I recommend 100%

I had a solo long weekend in Paris and the hotel I normally stay at was sold out so I tried this hotel based on reviews from TripAdvisor. I liked the location and the price. I knew that the inexpensive rooms were small, and that was OK. I wanted clean, convenient and in the Left Bank area, close to the...

Stayed at this hotel at the end of August with my husband and daughter. Check in was fine and we had booked a triple room for the 3 of us. I think that i have seen larger cupboards and It would have been cheaper to book 2 double rooms than what we paid. It was extremely hot in the room...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
