I'm not keen on crowds so out of the way places were all nearby. Recommend Arenes de Lutece for some quiet reflection and shade. We ate in a small bar on the Rue Broca on our first night - this was also close by.

The French windows opened easily and the plane trees outside gave some privacy although there are light and heavy curtains also. Don't remember air-conditioning as I was there in spring. Returned to the hotel exhausted after each full day, so can't remember either whether it was noisy on the street - probably not as we were on the 4th floor.
