The hotel is very well situated in the 1st arrondissement, just off a main Street, and also a few steps away from a metro station.

My fifth stay in six years. A two star hotel with a 5 star location. The small staff is friendly and very helpful. The hotel is ideal for the single traveler or for couples.

The location is excellent and very easy to reach by subway. For Paris, it was a reasonable size room and good price. It is good that reception is 24/7 available.

It is undeniable that the hotel is very well situated, and we had no problem with the staff, although did not need them for anything. The rooms are a bit small, which is to be expected, but everything is in need of a make-over. Wifi...More

Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and
just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.

I'm no spring chicken and neither is my wife, but when we were there in July last year we had arrived @ Chatelet Metro station after starting out at 6:30 AM in the Italian Cinque Terre. Making four train connecrions we arrived @ Paris Gare de Lyon about 8:45 PM. I know there were stairs but I have no real memory of them so I guess we made it and they left no lasting impression. My wife had a bag that weighed a ton plus a smaller strap on. I had a mid-sized roll along and a back pack.
