In the apartments there's nothing to use for cooking such as a pan, cookware, forks, knives... We bought food and we couldn't cook anything. We asked for these things at the repection but they didn't solve the problem.

So at first, I thought this hostel was nice and clean. The bathroom was never clean my entire stay, and it was an extremely small stall. There are far too many rules; I was scolded for using the shower (no music, very sober and quiet) after 11:00PM, you couldn't keep your key when you left the hostel (you had to... More

The hostel is nice, not very fancy and really small dorms and a tiny bathroom, but is economic for young travelers and well located close to subway. We had a shared room and spent two good nights with a single breakfast included, cookies and coffee or tea.

I was a little hesitant to stay here after reading some of the reviews, but I had a great experience. Rooms were clean, showers were warm and had excellent water pressure, bathrooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was sufficient. Working wifi. Safe location. Everything you need in a cheap hostel.

This is not a 5-star hotel. If you are looking for that, you should probably not stay at AIJ. But if you are a practical person (or group) and seeking a safe hostel in a safe neighborhood, by all means, book your stay today. It close to the metro and Bastille (the monument). The people at the front desk do... More

Unhelpful staff. Can't go back into hotel between certain times. No lifts to the floors above. Not exactly clean. Location was ok, that's the only positive thing I can think of. Enjoy your holiday, find somewhere else!

Had a terrible experience when a hostel staff member lied to me about trying to fix the broken electronic safe in my room. The safes malfunction frequently, and very often no one cares about you getting your valuables back before you leave. I luckily managed to get the safe to work. but this was terrible.

The hostel itself was pretty quiet when I stayed, at the start of backpacker season so that was a bonus. It is also close to the Bastille so has lots of bus routes and metro links available within a short walking distance. Clean rooms and bathroom, which you would hope so as you are not allowed in your rooms between... More

We were 5 friends going on Interrail, and we started our trip in Paris at this hostel. The staff was extremely rude, and they blamed the guest for mistakes that the staff themselves had made. They did not tell us that we had to change rooms the last night, so we were just really lucky to find out by ourselves.... More

I spent three nights in this hostel with two friends. It was in a very convenient location for us and gave us everything we needed: a place to sleep. Everyone was really nice. The wifi was spoty, but that was to be expected. Overall, it was pretty great for the price.
