We stayed here for 4 nights and had an excellent overall experience. The location of the hotel was good ( near to the metro) with lot of places to eat -out in the vicinity. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and maintained on a daily basis. Special mention to the very warm & courteous staff.

A functional yet trendy hotel close to the Pigalle, making it an ideal spot for exploring Paris (particularly handy for those arriving into Gare du Nord as it's no more than 15 minutes on the metro from there). The hotel is clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel represents good value for money in central Paris... More

I recently visited Paris for a city break from Friday morning through to Sunday evening. We stumbled across Hotel George on Tripadvisor and decided to book as the reviews were fabulous and it looked a pleasant hotel. I am so glad we went ahead! What a lovely place to stay. On arrival we were greeted by two ladies at the... More

We were extremely satisfied with our hotel accommodations! The room was beautiful. The breakfast was simple but delicious (I had Nutella crepes every morning!). The complimentary mini fridge was always stocked with refreshments, which is especially appreciated after you've spent the whole day walking around seeing the sights. And lastly, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. On our last... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was small, but big enough for us (a couple), it was light and bright with a cute wee balcony that had a table and 2 chairs. The hotel desk staff member was fabulous, very friendly and willing to help out with booking tours and the airport shuttle. The drinks in... More

Just returned from a weekend break with friends. We booked this hotel as it looked quite quirky and the reviews were good. On arrival, we were greeted by a lovely lady on reception who explained the free bar, (free soft drinks, coffee, tea and snacks available from 1pm to 2am everyday). When we got to our room it was a... More

This hotel was a special gem for me - I travelled by myself and stayed here for 3 days. I initially chose the hotel because it was affordable, in a good location and offered breakfast. I loved the theme and the unique furnishings. The "open bar" was a great addition - offering free soft drinks, tea, coffee and snacks throughout... More

My wife and I spent 5 nights at this hotel at the end of August. We found the hotel to be conveniently located, it was a 15 minute walk to the Montmatre area and within a 20 minute walk to the Opera area, the closest metro station was a 2 minute walk away. There are also a number of restaurants... More

Enjoyed our stay here. Check-in was easy and efficient. Rooms were small but more than adequate. Had a snack area in the lobby with drinks and espresso machine. Breakfast had many selections. Hotel was only minutes from the Metro 12 line. Many restaurants in the area, but also many others were closed since it was August.

The hotel is conveniently located, within a 20 minute walk from the Opera (and within 2 minutes of the nearest metro station), and a quick walk to Montmartre. The area around it is quite wonderful to explore as well. You get a sense of where real Parisians live rather than where tourists roam. More importantly, its rooms are well appointed... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
