This is an inexpensive condo-hotel in the 19th. Yes, the 19th doesn't have any sights. It's a residential area without much interest. That means it's quiet. This hotel is a few minutes' walk from not just one, but two metro stops. This makes getting to "the good stuff" (or train/airport connections) a breeze. We stayed on the sixth floor and...

My wife and I used this apart-hotel as our base for a two week holiday in Paris. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and the staff spoke English which helped my wife as her French language skills extend to "Patisserie and Gateaux" ( she survives!). The facilities were good, the room had a lounge area although the sofa was...

The apartment hotel is excellent with a great location near the Park Buttes Chaumont. This would be a great vacation. There is easy access to the metro Botzaris. Near the metro there is a great Boulangerie which is a 3minute walk from the hotel. The park has many walking/running trails that lead to scenic views of the city of Paris....

I say surprised as walking from Jourdain metro the area seemed a bit in need of some TLC. The moment we got to the apartments all fears went as the staff were friendly and the reception was clean and family friendly. The room was perfect for us and the cot was all ready for my 9 month old. My older...

We recently stayed here in a two bed apartment after being upgraded by reception. The staff also let us check on early which was very much appreciated having arrived after a long flight. The apartment was very spacious with a great kitchen meaning we could cook meals rather than going out all the time. The near by park is absolutely...

I have stayed for 2 nights with my family. Cons : nice staff, internet, covered parking- especially important in this part of Paris, not far from metro station, near the park (do not go there in the late evening) Against: We have arrived late in the night with small kids. Hotel not signed, you can not park next to reception even...

A very nice appartment, well located, near the Metro Station, in a very attractive and vivid part of Paris. The Staff is so nice, all the facilities are found in the appartment. We didn't contact the staff too much because everything was clear. I can just recoomend Adagio. Some small Details concerning the cleaneleness of the appartment und the size...

Amazing staff and great value for money we stayed as a family of 4. We ended up getting an early flight and arrived at the hotel just after lunch. The staff were very accommodating and changed our room so we could check in earlier. The room was very modern, clean and spacious. It had a kitchen which was great, although...

I am not a Paris habitué, but I can't imagine much better value than this aparthotel. True, it is off the main atractions. However there is easy access to most of them through one of the two lines with stations nearby (7bis, Botzaris, a 2-min walk, and 11, Jourdain, a little over 5-min). It is located in a "cours" closed...

Great location if you're traveling with your pet(s). Right next to Buttes Chaumont park with lots of grassy areas and paths to exercise the dogs. It is also close to two different metro lines so easy to get back here during the day. Staff are very nice and the rooms are spacious and the kitchen well furnished with coffee pot,...

Staying in Belleville / Pere Lachaise

Neighborhood Profile
Belleville / Pere Lachaise
At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery, family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between local stores and establishments. The richness of the population here has created a little Chinatown of Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one street to another as one passes from white walled provincial homes to tall blocks and reconverted homes. The whole area is an inspirational mix of people from all corners of the world frequented by artists, students, immigrants, and Parisian families. Once home to supporters of the Paris commune, its rebellious nature is now offset by its rural charms.
