Welcome to the Hotel Ariane Montparnasse! Located in the heart of the estimated Montparnasse area, in the heart of the 14th district of Paris, the Hotel Ariane offers a top location, near to metro stations, bus stops, RER B station and Montparnasse train station. The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.

First, the staff was very friendly, very courteous, very helpful. However, even though our room, in particular the bathroom, had been updated, the bedroom was dingy. The bath heater worked, the bedroom heater did not. A slight musty smell from the carpet. The bed was very low to the ground and not particularly comfortable. A modern bathroom but the shower floor was very slippery. Very thin walls allowing conversations to be heard from adjacent rooms. Narrow hallways. The fire escape route plans for the building made me nervous. No sprinklers. Not child friendly. A place to sleep but not much more than that. A decent location but breakfast/dinner options somewhat limited. 20 minute walk to Gare Montparnasse with a map.

We loved this hotel based in a neighborhood which allowed walking and shopping and nearby dining. The rooms were comfortable and clean and breakfast was good although the dining area is tiny so we could not all eat at the same time.

My family and I stayed at this hotel mid-July for nearly a week. The location is excellent, near the heart of Montparnasse, situated close to metro stations and great cafes. It’s in a very quiet neighbourhood, so sleep quality was not an issue at all. The staff at reception were professional, very friendly, exemplary of top-notch service. Further, the petit-dejeuner/breakfast was excellent. It was an buffet style served with various French pastries, meats, beverages, yoghurt, etc. We were high satisfied with the housekeeping, service and cleanliness of the rooms. Thank you for making my first trip to Paris an enjoyable one!

Dear JCDrennes, Thank you for your comment even if we regret the hotel did not meet your expectations. Our hotel has no AC, we never said that we had it, like most of hotels in Paris. Paris experienced temperature as we have never experienced before. Newspaper called them canicular days...to make it acceptable we put freezed bottle of water , fan in the rooms etc....Your comment is very harmful for our staff who made its utmost during this particular days.... the bathroom and the carpet were fully renovated 2 years ago and you paid a very very interesting price to be in one of the best area of Paris in a boutique hotel. The ratio value for money is important to us. Nevertheless, we hope to welcome you in better weather conditions and reach your satisfaction. Best regards Bernard Garnier

Hotel staff was very friendly and spoke a little English. They offered directions and the rates of the nearest parking garages, as well as recommendations for nearby restaurants. The hotel itself is about 75 meters from a bus stop and about 200 meters from the metro station. There are numerous restaurants nearby, as well as a laundromat and grocery store. Located within a long walk to the major tourist attractions but is easier to just take the metro. Room itself was small but had a comfortable bed. Carpet and bathroom were definitely worn and dated. The shower head didn't work that great and there was a large, visible hairball in the bathroom sink making it drain slowly. There was also mildew in the shower grout and around the fixtures. Due to the size, if you are planning on spending your entire time in Paris in your room, this probably isn't the place for you. Would recommend for anyone just looking for a comfortable place to shower and sleep with food nearby.
