This is a classic central staircase hotel I remember from Europe on $10 a day in the 70's. But it is completely and tastefully renovated. Breakfast was wonderful. Lots of meats and cheeses, Jams and Pastries, and even soft boiled eggs. The boys had hot chocolate every morning and the coffee was excellent. You are within walking distance to the... More

I chose this hotel mainly for the very convenient location, on the RER line from Paris Orly airport (the Luxembourg station is maybe 500ft from the hotel), and it ended up being a very good choice because it is an excellent hotel. Modern rooms, with a small desk convenient for business travels, large enough w/r to Parisian standards and, above... More

My husband and I stayed here overnight in early May. We caught the train from the airport and got out across the road from Luxembourg Gardens. It was very easy. The hotel was about a 2 minute walk from there. We arrived early in the morning and our room was not ready so they checked us in and put our... More

Stayed for a few nights for business in Paris. Small, comfy, charming hotel. My colleagues got newly renovated rooms but I got a slightly worn one. But all in all, very ok. Very french hotel, but almost deserving of four stars instead of the three that's posted on the wall. Nice breakfast. Recommended.

We stayed at Hotel Elysa Luxembourg for 2 nights in late May. Very easy to get to from Charles De Gaulle airport via RER train to Luxembourg metro station. It is within easy reach of many of Paris's main attractions and there is a small supermarket across the road and restaurants nearby. Our room was smallish but well appointed and... More

Located in a quiet and safe area. Just 1 minute walking distance from the metro station, it is easy to get all the major spots in Paris. The room was litte tiny but clean and cozy, Absolutely worth the money.

Have stayed in this hotel for new year 2016. It is a nice small coZy hotel directly near jardin de Luxembourg. It is near to the rer station which goes directly to the airport(a big plus) and you can easily reach all paris from that location. The surrounding is nice, safe, and relatively calm at night. The rooms are good,... More

Stayed here early May. Fabulous position. Arrived 4 hours early and was checked in immediately. Lost our key card - replaced at no charge. Male staff really friendly. Room small, lift small - but really, who cares, we were out and about all day. Would certainly recommend this hotel and we would certainly stay here again.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
