"An unique view in the heart of Paris" The Hôtel Brighton, built on Rue de Rivoli by Lord Egerton at the beginning of the 19th century, became one of the capital’s leading hotels, attracting many British customers. This district of Paris, which is now the 1st arrondissement, was very popular with British clients on The Grand Tour, an initiatory trip across Europe and sometimes as far as Asia with the aim of completing the artistic and cultural education of the young middle classes. The hotel has preserved a large number of antique elements down the years, beginning with the period mosaic with the words "Hôtel Brighton" on the ground beneath the arcades of Rue de Rivoli in front of the hotel. Inside, the marble columns in the hall, the sculpted high reliefs in the bar, the set of antique mirrors and the many French windows, the tall ceilings on the "noble floors" and the exposed beams in the rooms on the upper storeys all bear witness to the history of the site and the people who gave it its charm. But what makes the Hôtel Brighton a truly exceptional place is the breathtaking 180° panorama. To the left, the Louvre, once a royal palace, today a museum, the Tuileries Gardens opposite and the Place de la Concorde to the right with the Eiffel Tower in the background. One of your best memories of Paris will be this unique view.

I am finally reviewing this hotel for those interested in a balcony viewing of the TdF. We stayed here for the Tour summer 2018. This hotel is in an excellent location for the end of the race and the final repeated loops. Also easy accessibility to many highlights of this beautiful city. Easy walk through the Tuileries gardens to the Louvre. View the Eiffel Tower in the distance from a Tuileries Garden View Room. The balcony is only about a foot deep so no chairs. My husband and I stood comfortably sipping champagne while watching the cyclists wiz by us below. Hotel was clean and staff was helpful. Only down side is the amusement park right across the street adjacent to gardens. It got noisy, especially at night but the windows are sound proof and do block out the noise when you close them. Main purpose of our stay was the Tour so we were very pleased.

Dear ctgal2008, Thank you for sharing your personal past experience of the Brighton hôtel to our guests and passionnate followers. Please accept our apologies for the delay in replying back to you. We are truly blessed to be able to enjoy such a magnificient location in the heart of Paris, with views of the historic monuments like the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Pyramids, Musée d'Orsay and not forgetting the 'Tuileries Garden'. The rooms facing the 'Tuileries Garden' are perfectly located to expérience the last stage of 'Tour de France', from the privacy of your own room. One gets the sensation that they are in this vast stadium sipping champagne and tasting the 'Summer crop of strawberries' whilst following this légendary french sport from ones balcony. The amusement park in the 'Tuileris garden' is organised by the city of Paris once every year during the months of July and August. As you mention and thanks to our double glazed windows which helps block out the noise. Thank you for your comment towards the helpfullness of our team and the overall cleanliness of the hotel, we assure you of our continuity to provide excellent standards of service to all our valued guests. We take this opportunity to wish you and your loved ones a festive season of joy, love and good health and a better 2021. We look forward to welcoming you back home to your favourite hôtel in Paris. Kind regards, John RODRIGUES Deputy General Manager

Very central to everything you want to see in Paris. Deliberately selected this hotel as walking distance to highlights and lovely gardens across the road. Services at hotel exceptional and friendly staff. Surrounding services, cafes, restaurants for breakfast and dining were delicious. French fare to tempt the tastebuds and we were not disappointed with selections on offer. Very happy memories of this hotel.
