"An unique view in the heart of Paris" The Hôtel Brighton, built on Rue de Rivoli by Lord Egerton at the beginning of the 19th century, became one of the capital’s leading hotels, attracting many British customers. This district of Paris, which is now the 1st arrondissement, was very popular with British clients on The Grand Tour, an initiatory trip across Europe and sometimes as far as Asia with the aim of completing the artistic and cultural education of the young middle classes. The hotel has preserved a large number of antique elements down the years, beginning with the period mosaic with the words "Hôtel Brighton" on the ground beneath the arcades of Rue de Rivoli in front of the hotel. Inside, the marble columns in the hall, the sculpted high reliefs in the bar, the set of antique mirrors and the many French windows, the tall ceilings on the "noble floors" and the exposed beams in the rooms on the upper storeys all bear witness to the history of the site and the people who gave it its charm. But what makes the Hôtel Brighton a truly exceptional place is the breathtaking 180° panorama. To the left, the Louvre, once a royal palace, today a museum, the Tuileries Gardens opposite and the Place de la Concorde to the right with the Eiffel Tower in the background. One of your best memories of Paris will be this unique view.

Hotel Brighton - Esprit de France offers an atmosphere of classic French elegance, though some guests have noted the need for refurbishment in areas. Its prime location with stunning Parisian views generally earns high marks from visitors, as does the cleanliness of the establishment. While the rooms are often lauded for their comfort and space, critiques do surface regarding their dated appearance and some maintenance issues.
The service at Hotel Brighton is frequently commended for its professionalism and personal touches, yet it's not without occasional service hiccups. Amenities are recognized for their luxury, but opinions on value vary, with some guests pointing out outdated elements and unexpected costs.

Perfect for two friends visiting Paris for six days. Not ultra fancy but oh so charming. Staff is friendly and so (no shower i room-tub w handheld head) was responded to within minutes and breakfast was just delicious. Most impressive was the sincere desire very welcoming. Request for tub maton part of staff to insure my friend and i had everything we needed. What a pleasant experience...and of course the location was perfect.

Hotel Brighton is located on Rue de Rivoli, across from Tuileries Garden, which means you have quick access to the Tuileries Metro station, the Louvre to the east, Place de la Concorde to the west, Rue Saint Honore on the north, and Musee D'Orsay to the south. What better location is that! What I also found interesting was that there are a lot of hotels in the area, notably a popular five-star hotel that charges more than 1000 Euros a night, and yet Hotel Brighton has all the benefits of location, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms without the five-star prices. So many attraction are within walking distance, and close access to the metro is a big plus. Of note, Musee D'Orsay (only about a 10-15 minute walk across Tuileries Garden) has a RER train station which I used to go to Versailles. I decided to treat myself and get the deluxe room facing Tuileries garden, and I was placed on the top floor with a gorgeous view and balcony. In addition, the staff were very friendly and always offered assistance when needed. Breakfast was a bit steep in price, but that's the price you pay for convenience, especially since some of the mornings I was there, it was raining and I didn't feel like going out. Thank you to everyone at Hotel Brighton for making me feel welcome and safe in Paris.

Great hotel and the Executive Suite is well worth the price for the view and the space. The breakfast was excellent. It was a great value for the money. The staff was excellent, most of all Rodrigo at the front desk, the manager of the breakfast area and George in the breakfast area. The location provides easy access to the Metro or to walk to most of the important areas.

Leaking plumbing. The bathroom floor was required to have three towels a day on floor to catch water. It was a very noisy room with 24 hour non stop doors opening and closing beneath you - don’t get room 10.

About a month ago, we stayed at the hotel, 4 families with 6 children. The location of the hotel is ideal, central, close to many sites. The rooms were large and clean, I would add a sofa to the suites, beyond the chairs that were in them to make it more comfortable.
The hotel staff was very courteous and professional, I would especially like to mention one of the receptionists, Frederique, who went above and beyond to help us with anything we asked for, with professionalism, pleasantness and courtesy.

While the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and responsive and the hotel location very convenient, there were too many serious deficiencies with our room and bathroom and we would recommend many other hotels in the same price point.
Our Junior Suite and bathroom were a great size, but the musty odor, very dated furnishings, carpet and bathroom fittings and condition were a completed turnoff. What the hotel advertises as "charm" is a poor excuse for carpets, doors, closets, furnishings, lighting, electrical circuits/sockets that were "old", obsolete, worn and way past their useful lifetime.

Hotel Brighton is our choice for lodging when in Paris. An excellent location for touring and dining with most Paris attractions readily available via Metro, with a station across the street from the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. Great breakfast with great variety for all tastes. The staff at Hotel Brighton is the best we have experienced through our many travels - polite, friendly, professional, and always helpful. We truly enjoy Hotel Brighton!

Our check-in experience at this luxury Paris hotel was extremely disappointing.
After we unpacked we discovered the carpet in half the room was sopping wet.
The manager sent a janitor to investigate. He said there was no leak but the squishy wet floor was evidently due to a recent carpet shampooing.
He put a couple of towels on the rug and kept assuring us “c’est normal!”
We were meeting friends for dinner and were told that all would be fine when we returned in a few hours.
No such luck.
The floor was still soaking.
We made the poor decision to spend the night in that awful room
.Unfortunately, the temperature control was broken so it became stiflingly hot by midnight.
We opened the window which overlooked the raucous Christmas Market and holiday amusement park opposite the hotel.
Sleeping was not easy that night.
In the morning, the carpet was still sopping & the room was still hot.
We tried to use the shower inside the bathtub but it was difficult to negotiate (unless you are an acrobat).
We confronted the manager who apologized profusely for everything and gave us a wonderful, spacious and comfortable room on another floor.
It had a walk-in shower (called “Italienne” style).
We next decided to try the breakfast buffet in the hotel dining area.
At 25€ it was disappointing.
The unimpressive croissants & baguettes tasted like they came from Mononprix and the juices were bottled. Scrambled eggs were gooey & bacon was limp.
When we checked out after 5 nights we were dismayed to find erroneous charges for unordered breakfasts which the desk clerk quickly removed.
This hotel could be great but managers need to check the rooms more carefully before assigning them to guests.
Maintenance issues are concerning.
There was a lot of renovation going on in the hotel (construction guys with Sheetrock & power tools were everywhere).
Perhaps it was an unusually difficult time for this hotel.

Hotel Brighton was the perfect hotel for our first visit to Paris. My sister and her husband had stayed once before and recommended we all stay there on this trip together. We had very large rooms on the same floor (floor 5), both with 2 small balconies overlooking the Eiffel Tower and Louvre. Our room had a separate standing shower separate tub. I believe their room had a standing shower only. Both rooms were large; theirs had an extra chaise lounge. We did have minor problems with the AC but the staff visited quickly a few times to remedy it.
I really loved the lobby water and candies available, as well as the afternoon tea/cake. Such a treat! We enjoyed drinks from the bar as well as the breakfast. We also used the laundry service and had our items returned the same day using the form in the room. The location was really great for us, we walked to the Louvre, the Ritz hotel, shopping on Rue Saint Honore, dinner in Saint-Germain, as well as other nearby areas. It's a quick walk to nearby train stations to take the metro all over Paris.
Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful - we'd love to come back the next time we're in Paris.

Enjoy!

We had an Eiffel Tower view and it looked over Jardin des Tuileries. I think that’s the side you want to be on to see the park.
