The hotel was amazing. The staff totally wonderful. Everyday the concierge desk would ask what I needed they made tour reservations, printed tickets, had subway tickets, made restaurant reservations, gave me directions on maps highlighted everything. The area the hotel was in was perfect St Germain was a cute little art/cafe with little shops and if you walked up the street you were on a main Blvd St Germain which lead to everything and lots of shop. Subway was 2 minutes away. The hotel was very quite and clean. Breakfast was a full brunch buffet and free if u book directly with hotel or Amex. The rooms are small but very organized if u have traveled Europe before you will know all rooms are small in Europe we didn’t need any more room then we had. The area is perfect if you want to be in the center of Paris would highly recommend this hotel

We won't look for any other place to stay next time. The Hotel Bel Ami has it all for a low key visit to the great city of Paris. Our room was small but that's where the cons start and stop. Front desk? Great. Concierge? FROM BEFORE WE ARRIVED with our questions to when we arrived with their helpfulness? Great. Room amenities? Great. Location to transportation and sites and restaurants? Great. We paid up 20 bucks a night for breakfast just so that we wouldn't have to worry about it on a day to day basis. And they had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, baguettes, croissants, fruits, cheese and charcuterie daily. The hotel staff is friendly. They have a small fitness area if you want to use it along with a spa though we did not. Our room, again while small, had a TV, safe, fridge and Nespresso machine. They stocked us with bottled water daily. You may have to request a iron and ironing board though. Metropolitan is a short 3 or 4 minute walk. Les Relais de le'Entrocote is right across the street (go, it's good). Cafe De Fleur is 2 blocks away (don't go, it's overrated). Last tip unrelated to this review, DO NOT fly Air France - 2 hours just to get through customs with no representatives to help us get to our gates more timely like United had and lost our luggage going home. Hotel Bel Ami? Yes, please. Air France? Never again.

The customer service here is just outstanding. When you look at establishments of luxury who believe that they have more business than they need and treat you as “less than” you realize the value that consistent friendliness, courtesy, and service above self brings to the equation. We were initially given a room that was not what we had ordered, and in the end they made it right. The street is small, busy, and not easy to disembark with luggage, but you wouldn’t know it from their prompt and efficient help. Check in was hassle free and we worked with Mégan throughout our stay at the front desk and found the charges accurate, the communication flawless, and just downright comforting. From concièrge, to bellmen, to the cleaning staff keeping our room sparkling clean, and the most outstanding breakfast you will get within walking distance for far less than you would pay for a crowded, smoky, “trying to be seen getting la experience Parisienne.”
Warm towels, air removal from the water closet, a small sink in the water closet, windows that open for fresh air, an air conditioner that works, never ending hot water, perfectly clean bedding with a comfortable bed and pillow selection to find your own preference, plenty of full length mirrors. We couldn’t ask for better.

Part 2 of our 2022 Family Girls Trip to Frankfurt & Paris was amazing thanks to the staff and the beautiful accommodations at the Bel Ami! We were located right in the heart of shopping at beautiful boutiques, amazing cafes and restaurants, walking distance to the Louvre and Seine River and great area to just people watch. Breakfast was incredible and served buffet style, 24/7 room service, concierge were very knowledgeable and attentive. Rooms were quaint, comfortable and extremely clean and they turned down your bed every night without requesting. Loved the contemporary look and the incredible staff. Will definitely go back!!!!

Friendly, quiet and centrally located - ten to 20 minutes walk from almost everything you'd want to see, plus the train station two blocks away takes you up to Montmartre. We really put the staff through their paces on this trip since it was during the confusion of the ever-changing Covid rules. I must say that they were the friendliest and most attentive staff we could have hoped for. One nice surprise was a ribbon on the door and balloons in the room in honor of my birthday, along with a hand-written card from the concierge!

We were very underwhelmed with our stay at Hotel Bel Ami. Our biggest issue is that the hotel is classified as a 5* hotel but it is at best an average 4* hotel with 5* prices. The location of the hotel is great in the center of St. Germaine. However, the rooms are extremely small even by European standards and composed of mediocre materials and finishes throughout the hotel. We booked through the Chase Hotel Collection which comes with perks like early check in, late check out and a room upgrade when available. I understand these perks are “when available” and it was a busy weekend but the fact that none of the three perks were accommodated when we only picked this hotel since it is part of the program was a let down. In the future, I would book a boutique 4* hotel over Hotel Bel Ami when given the option.

This is truly a boutique hotel. It's a terrific location, located near the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, and any number of iconic Paris locations and neighborhoods. It is also located near transportation hubs, making it easy to do day trips via RER, including, as we did, one to Versailles. Our room was on the small side, although smartly designed. We stayed for four days and figure out how to situate bags to minimize space issues. Most of all the staff at every level was incredibly responsive, empathetic, professional, and competent. Not once did we feel neglected, since we both have some special needs that needed attending. Advice, information about sites and directions were provided with patience and detail, making it easy for us to get around. As indicated the facility is small, yet very comfortable and in some ways intimate, rather than cramped. It has a great bar and excellent area for meeting other guests and just relaxing and having a conversation. The breakfast is of high quality, although I wish there were more of a non-meat, protein selection. Some smoked fish might be a good addition, but as it happened, the small selection worked fine for us, but I suspect might not for others. The gym is small, but was available for use while we were there. Overall, a great Parisian experience, made even more positive by the superb, friendly, and competent staff. The Hotel Bel Ami is on our list for another visit, just as soon as our budget can handle it, but remember, hotels in Paris have all gotten much more expensive, even while they vary considerably in what you get for your money.

My group and I stayed there periodically over 2 weeks. We checked in and out a few times. The hotel has excellent service with courteous staff. The team at the concierge is very quick and efficient in addressing to your needs. The housekeeping is slightly inconsistent - some of us receive chocolates in the room but not all. Some of us get water at the end of the day but not all. One of my colleagues asked for a new bar of chocolate after finding out that the one he got had been eaten by the previous guest. The hotel responded with a bottle of champagne as apology plus a new bar of the chocolate of course. They also allowed us to shower using the shower room in the gym before we go to the airport for our night flight. The room I got shrank in size each time I check in. The last room was so small there was barely space to open my suitcase fully but luckily it was only for a night. It's relatively near to metro line 4 (5 mins walk). Overall, it's a pleasant stay.

The Bel Ami is centrally located in the St Germain area. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment room which was more than adequate. The room has a living area with a kitchenette which is restocked daily. There is plenty of space to relax after a day of exploring Paris. The bedroom is separated from the living area and is very comfortable. There is a good sized bathroom attached to the bedroom. All of the concierge are extremely helpful and offer great suggestions for meals. The entire staff at the Bel Ami makes you feel comfortable and welcome.

We came to Paris for 4 days for a mini moon and this hotel was perfect! Ibrahim at the front desk made sure to make our mini moon very special, they had the door wrapped with a bow, rose petals on the bed, chocolate in the room and invited us to have champagne in the bar on them.
The rooms are spotless and tidy, they come and do turndown service in the evening also. Breakfast was nothing out of the ordinary but did the trick.
Overall the location is amazing, just a block from some of the most famous cafes in paris, 2 blocks to a metro and walking distance from the Seine and many museums.
Would definitely recommend staying here.

I am not sure. We book through Amex. I suggest it. Besides free breakfast, also includes room upgrade and $100 to use at hotel. We have Platinum card, not sure it is available on other ones. Would say breakfast is pretty good. If you prefer, there are a lot of cafes in immediate area.
