We returned home yesterday after staying at this hotel for two nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very well decorated, very clean with the most beautiful bathrooms I’ve ever seen in any hotel I’ve stayed at! Powerful shower and hot water, lovely and bright. The location is good, just under a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. The Metro is close by as area few restaurants. We did manage to get a view of the Eiffel Tower but you do have to still you head out of the balcony doors to see it! Still lovely though! The hotel is much smaller than I thought it was after looking at photos on the Eurostar website which is where I booked it. They have a bar which I never saw staffed and the seating in reception isn’t the most comfortable of you are waiting around before you head home. The bedroom was very small. We only had rucksacks but I don’t know how you would’ve have moved if you had suitcases! I found the beds to be very hard, the fridge in the wardrobe wasn’t really cool. The hairdryer in the bathroom is very old fashioned as you’ll see in the photo I attached. Took me forever to dry my hair and the pipe and handle got very hot to hold after a while. No plug socket to use straighteners in the bathroom which was a shame as it was so bright in there! Walls are thin so we could here next doors tv very clearly, a pain when it’s late at night. . We had breakfast one morning, I have to say it wasn’t the best. Doesn’t offer that much and it’s a very small seating area.

My husband and I stayed here for our vacation in early July. I booked months ago and selected a room with a balcony and if possible one with a view of the Eiffel Tower. I paid extra for that, and hoped for the best. I figured it might work out somewhat like it does when you book an "ocean view" room and you can see the tiniest sliver of the ocean if you strain your neck and half fall out the window, but I was wrong. Friends. OMG! Pic of our view included. Beyond that, the hotel was very clean and very comfortable, air conditioned, offered a complete breakfast (extra, but some days that's ok!), was surrounded by tons of cafes and interesting places to eat and drink, was easily accessible by several metro lines, was also next to Les Invalides, and had the kindest person at the front desk. Melanie was amazing, answered all of our 10 million questions, assisted with travel arrangements, and kindly tolerated my attempts at speaking French :) Stay here for your trip to Paris!

Dear Catherine, Thank you for sharing your enthusiastic feedback about your stay at Hotel Duquesne Eiffel on TripAdvisor! It's delightful to hear that you and your husband had a wonderful vacation in Paris and that your experience at the hotel exceeded your expectations. I'm thrilled that the room you booked with a balcony and a view of the Eiffel Tower turned out to be even better than anticipated. Cleanliness and comfort are essential, and I'm glad that the hotel met those standards. The hotel's location, surrounded by numerous cafes and interesting dining options, provides convenience and the opportunity to explore the local culinary scene. The accessibility to multiple metro lines and the proximity to Les Invalides further is indeed very convenient. I'm glad to hear that Melanie at the front desk made a positive impact on your stay. All of our team always make their best to provide the best stay possible to our guests. Thank you for recommending Hotel Duquesne Eiffel to fellow travelers. It will be a pleasure to welcome you back. Kindest regards, Salomé

I booked this hotel Oct. 25, 2022. Before leaving on my plane, I printed out all booking for my trip. On June 13th we flew out of LAX to London. We arrived on the 14th and got checked in to our hotel, ate dinner and went to bed. On June 15th, 5 am we were up getting ready meet an 8am bus to Windsor Castle. We get home from this tour and I have my first opportunity to check my 100s of emails. I see Reservation Canceled. It is from THE HOTEL DUQUESNE EIFFEL. I call in a panic, they canceled it because they sent me an email on June 14th the subject just said “Reservation”. It informed me that my credit card did not go through and I needed to call to rectify. The guy was helpful and got me rebooked. Thank God!! So, I thought. The next morning, June 16th, we are getting off the tour bus at Warner Bros around 9 am and it is the Hotel calling me to tell me the guy made a mistake and my room had already been rebooked to someone else. They could call me to rectify their error but could not call me before canceling my reservation. I was on a plane, changing time zone, going straight into guided tours and the email they first sent only said “reservation” that certainly does give me any inclination that there is a problem. They just kept referring to the email, the mail. They email I did not read due to my travel and they certainly had my phone number to text or call me directly. Horrible business practice!!! I am a single mom traveling with her daughter. We are on a budget and being without a hotel in a foreign country is not ok.

Dear Lisa, Thank you for reaching out to us. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the cancellation of your reservation. We would like to provide some clarification regarding the situation. A week before your arrival, we attempted to pre-authorize the amount for the first night of your stay. This is a standard procedure to secure the booking in case of late cancellation, no show, or potential damages to the room. This process is written in our general terms and conditions of sale wich you can find on our website. Unfortunately, the pre-authorization was declined. On June 14th, we sent you an email informing you that we needed another valid credit card within 24 hours, otherwise, the reservation would be cancelled. As we did not receive a response, we had to cancel the booking. We understand that you contacted us for an explanation and spoke with our night watchman, who was new to the job. He made a reservation for you at the same price and with an approved pre-authorization. However, he overlooked the fact that we were already fully booked and that two reservations were mistakenly confirmed, leaving no available rooms for you. As soon as we realized the mistake, we contacted you immediately to apologize for the misunderstanding. At that point, you inquired about alternative hotels in the area, and we promptly provided you with a list of recommendations. We sincerely apologize for all the inconvenience caused. However, during this short period, the reservations that went through were given priority due to limited availability. If you happen to visit Paris again in the future, we would be more than happy to welcome you back. Best regards, Salomé

I loved this charming hotel in the 7th Arrondissement. The location was perfect for walking to the ‘have to see’ sites in Paris and only a block to the l’ecole militaire metro stop. Hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this small boutique hotel.

Just arrived home from a 2 night stay at this hotel, and in all fairness it was faultless. Great location! I had requested a view of the Eiffel Tower, however the deluxe rooms had sold out… so unfortunately we was given room 32.. which was a street view! However when I opened the windows and looked to the side we had the most beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower, which was a lovely surprise… so if you only book a standard room maybe ask for room 32 or close by to get a lovely view! Hotel and the rooms are very small, but served its purpose for 2 nights, it was very clean and the staff were lovely and friendly. We got the metro and train from the airport and back! Highly recommend doing this as it’s so much cheaper! And fairly straightforward to do. It’s a good central location and lots of shops and restaurants near by. We had added on rose petals in the room, which were a little disappointing especially for 15 euro! I kinda expected real petals…. Or abit more to do… but other than that I’d happily recommend this hotel, compared to some hotels which this sort of view and location I think it’s a good price.

We stayed in Paris for just 2 nights, but Hotel Duquesne Eiffel helped to make it memorable. The staff was more than helpful for any questions and always greeted us with a smile. We had a great view of the Eiffel tower staying in room 56, there is a small balcony you can stand on, which we took full advantage of. We also added champagne and macaroons as and upgrade and did not regret it, both were delicious.

We enjoyed our stay here. It’s an easy stroll to the Eiffel Tower. There are quite a few cafes in the area. Rooms are clean and cozy. Front desk was helpful and got us in before our check in time which was very appreciated after a long trip. I would stay here again.

My son took me to Paris for 3 days as my 70th birthday present and booked this Hotel. What can I say, the staff could not have been more accommodating, the hallway to the room looked a bit tired and yes, the room was small but it was well planned out and had absolutely everything you needed plus it was immaculately clean. The view from the Balcony to the Eiffel Tower is stunning especially at night when it is all lit up. The breakfast was amazing and plentiful to set you up for the day but above all it was in a very quiet and safe area and I cannot wait to return. I highly recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting Paris and because it is only a small Hotel, the service is more personal and impeccable. Definitely also recommend a trip to the Moulin Rouge, best show I've ever seen, definitely not to be missed. All in all a fantastic experience all round thanks to my kind hearted son for arranging it. Definitely a birthday I will never forget..
