My partner and I stayed here in June this year and loved this property. When we checked in we upgraded our room to have a view of the Eiffel Tower and it was definitely worth the money. Nothing beats laying on your bed watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was just enough to get you started for a day of exploring. The metro is a 5 minute walk away and doesnt take you long before you get to any of the major attractions. Sacré-Cœur is a short walk away and definitely a must see when in Paris. We cannot wait to stay here again, my new favorite hotel in Paris.

Hotel's Favorite
My first half of my trip I stayed in the 7th District which was very nice and quiet but I needed to change my accomodations and found this wonderful hotel. Its located in the red light district and about 1/2 block from the Moulin Rouge. I loved the character of this neighborhood! Yes there are sex stores right next door but I didn't mind. I didn't feel it be "seedy" as others have shared and I felt perfectly safe walking about, even late at night. When you arrive, you have to be buzzed in. Check in was very easy even though I arrived around midnight. Extremely friendly staff. My room was immaculate. The room was larger than I expected for a european hotel based on other places I have stayed. Plenty of storage, comfortable large bed, shower, toilet in the room. My room overlooked the main street so I heard some noise outside but nothing to complain about. Breakfast was very nice with a good variety. I didn't book it to include the breakfast but worth the convienance of being able to walk downstairs to grab a bite. The elevator is small but works fine. I took the stairs mostly except when I checked in and out due to my luggage. Very clean, fun decor, warm and friendly staff. Its minutes from Montmartre which I spent alot of time discovering and came to the conclusion that I loved this area of Paris best during this visit. Its older, more charming. Not as touristy as some of the other main hot spots. Lots of food options within walking distance. Easy access to the metro. Maybe not a good spot for kids if you don't want to explain about the various erotic items in the display windows but give the place a shot if you want more than just the vanilla version of Paris.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my husband for a couple of nights whilst in Paris. The hotel is very nice, with modern amenities, excellent location (2 minutes from Blanche metro stop) and very close to both The Moulin Rouge and The Sacre Coeur. Comfy beds and a good, hot shower, in a reasonably spacious room. The breakfast - although very limited as is a normal continental breakfast which you would expect in Paris - is good, however is served in the reception area which is quite small and gets quite busy. A couple of reasons why we didn’t think the hotel is quite a 4-star offering as advertised. The room wasn’t perfectly clean, the surfaces and bedside tables were quite dusty and the shower screen was smeared and hadn’t been cleaned. Small things yes but important when advertising a 4-star hotel. Also, the service from the reception staff could be a bit better. We were kept waiting for about 15 mins whilst they dealt with another guest - not a problem, understandable that they have many guests to deal with - but as there were two members of staff one could have dealt with us, or perhaps a small apology when beginning to deal with us would have been suitable? Also, if we’re being very particular, when we left our bags to be held before our room was ready (gratefully so I might add 😊) it would have been good if they were left in a more secure place rather than just in the open reception area where lots of other guests are mingling. Also just a point of confusion, we paid about £100 a night (albeit on a special offer through Secret Escapes) but the rates on the door, advertised just outside start at €595 a night. Even if we were on a special deal, this seems like an extreme difference, and I would not say that the rooms are worthy of a €595 price tag! On the whole a very good hotel, just a few aspects, in our opinion, that would make for an improvement and justify the 4 stars awarded 😊

Stayed 3 nights over a weekend in August, we usually stay in the more expensive Terrass close by but decided to give this a go after reading the reviews. We arrived prior to the 3pm check in but our room was ready. A small room overlooking a side road. Clean and tidy, beds very comfortable and linen good. The room had tea and coffee available but no milk was provided, we asked more than once and was given some in a glass from the kitchen fridge. No mini bar in room but the staff will put anything in the hotel fridge if you want them to. We slept well and were not disturbed by outside noise, air conditioner worked well, bathroom good Including toiletries. Breakfast room is a space in reception where you have to share tables with others and at peak times you can struggle to get a space, the staff including reception workers work hard at clearing tables. Breakfast is small but has the usual juice, French bread a small amount of streaky bacon and hot dog style sausages, fried eggs to order, 3 types cereal and good coffee from a machine and is adequate and on a par with the more expensive hotel we usually stay in. The area around the hotel contains a few sex shops and erotic show venues but we walked around at night and it was fine. Plenty of bars and eateries close by including the hotel which has a regular happy hour. The hotel is close to the tube and is good value for money, we will definitely stay again.

Dear Madam, Thank you for taking the time to answer our survey ! What a delight to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that the reception team was here to help you organising you stay. We are really willing to offer the best customer service and all our staff are polyvalent and eager to help. The room you booked can seem to be pretty small but actually quite big compare to parisian standard in hospitality industry. We do not have any mini bar in the room but we do have a fridge at the reception to store your belongings and bar with fesh juice , wine and champagne at your disposal 24 hour. Regarding the milk issue , we are not allowed to put it in the room for safety reason as the milk will pass out during the summer season. The summer time period , can be a busy season for us, and the breakfast area is quite small. Just as you know, we do have the pick hour displayed on the elevator in order to facilitate the seats available. We are planning to refesh the breakfast area to offer more products during the year. The neighborhood can be noisy but our window are sound proof and the shops around need to be be taken as a second degree joke . Montmartre is an artistque place ! We hope to have the chance to welcome you in the future. Best regards, Valentine Guest manager

We had a great stay at the Hotel le Chat Noir because of the manager, Gregoire. When we missed our tour to Normandy, he went above and beyond to get us on the tour the next day. He even made sure we had an extra early breakfast each day we were there. Thanks Gregoire!
