I stayed at Hotel Carlton's for 2 nights in July and it was amazing. The rooftop patio alone is worth every penny - and speaking of pennies, the hotel is super affordable. I originally booked a single room but when I got there I was pleasantly surprised to have a double instead. The room was very clean, the bathroom was... More

Great location, within easy walking distance of Gard de Nord train station. Quiet and peaceful , staff very friendly. A huge thanks to Gemma the receptionist on the door could not have asked for a friendlier or more helpful host

This is by far the best hotel in Paris that I've ever stayed in for three reasons . Firstly the staff ALL speak good English and anything you wanted was done straight away . They were so informative . Secondly the LARGE open air roof terrace shows every place you'd want to visit , you can see the whole city... More

Great location, good spacious room, comfortable bed. We were on the 7th floor. Our spacious bathroom looked out over Paris, Eiffeltower included. Reception staff was kind, elevator available. A big plus is the roof terrace! From the Sacré-Cœur till the Eiffeltower. All around you have an amazing view! I would definitely book this hotel again!

The hotel has a lovely old Parisian vibe, but a bit of renovation could certainly help in bringing back its glory. The hotel is close to the Sacre Coeur/ Montmarte and the Moulin Rouge, and is a great starting point in exploring the city. The breakfast menu was limited, but delicious and filling. The best thing about the hotel is... More

This has to be one of the most amazing hotels I have stayed in. I stayed here 4 years ago in March of 2012, and still have yet to top it. We had a large room with two bedrooms on the top floor with incredible views of the Sacred Heart Basilica. The beds were comfy and the rooms very spacious.... More

Stayed here last summer. Had room with a great view of the Sacre Coeur. Breakfast was good, room was clean, if a little small. Great travel links with bus stops and a metro station outside. Also plenty of bars and restaurants within a short walk.

I wanna file a complaint. I know racism is very common in each country and I felt that on my last night with your staff in the reception area. That was around 130am of May 14, 2016. First, he was sleeping. Second, he is very very very rude. He should not be working in the hotel and customer service industry.... More

This is promoted as a 4 star hotel but should not be more than a 2 star. As a 2 star hotel I would say it was fairly good but not as a 4 star. I would say that the time for renovation came a long time ago. There was a poor excuse of a bar/lounge in the lobby. The... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
