Members of Hotel Balmoral’s staff offer 5 star service. For many months, as I prepared for our trip, I sent a plethora of emails to wonderful Anne-Claire, who patiently, warmly and promptly replied to my many questions. Once we arrived she was so caring, making us feel like family.

Our rooms were simple, dark in decoration and typically European small with comfortable beds (so important!) and a nice, large shower. A/C was appreciated. Each room had a nice large French window that opened wide.

The concierge, Zoe, was absolutely fabulous. One couldn’t ask for a better concierge. For example, when I wrote and asked her which metro passes our family should get, she walked to the metro station and spoke with the desk so she could best advise us. She helped us plan our whole trip as far as activities and restaurants. Our trip would not have been nearly as successful without Zoe.

The best part of the free/included breakfast was Ranel, who happily runs the breakfast room. He was so hardworking and caring, having memorized and always ready to offer all the particular items our family needed. When there were no bananas one morning and he knew my son needed them for his daily tennis matches, he immediately had someone go out and purchase them and he brought them to our room. What service! He cared about all of us and showed it every day.

The hotel is conveniently located near a metro stop and surrounded by shops and restaurants. It’s a brief walk to the famous Champs-Elysees. When my mother lost her credit card, Christian immediately responded by having someone look at our rooms thoroughly. These are examples of 5 star service that we have not always received at 5 star hotels. This is why we will return to Hotel Balmoral the next time we visit Paris.

What more could we want than a comfortable and well furnished bespoke family run hotel in a most famous and accessible part of Paris but totally quiet and near to some good restaurants? Hotel Balmoral is owned and run with the passion of a family who have beautifully refurbished it with their own hand'picked furniture and ornaments. It is situated just a short walk from the Champs Elysees and Metro statin in a small, quiet typically Parisien street. Immediately you are welcomed by dedicated staff. There is a small lounge downstairs and a breakfast area which converts to more comfortable seating during the day in which to enjoy tea, coffee and tiny muffins free of charge. My double room for single occupancy had a Queen size bed, TV, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities and a bathroom with a large walk in rain shower and fluffy, thick white towels which are changed daily. The staff are helpful and will book restaurants and attractions for guests and we took advantage of the offer of a chauffeur driven car from the Eurostar, Gare du Nord, to the Hotel (at extra cost). I cannot praise this hotel enough and thank everyone for making my stay, and that of my friend, an enjoyable and memorable one. I shall recommend to any of my friends thinking of taking a trip to Paris.

My husband and I just returned from our trip to Paris, it was our birthday weekend and we wanted a trip to celebrate. After reading the reviews on this hotel we were looking forward to our stay.

The staff at the hotel you can not fault they are very kind, always happy to help. The location is also good, its close to the metro for those who do not like to explore on foot. If you do not mind walking there are some lovely streets to see whilst wondering around (personally I think you always see more on foot!).

The room we stayed in was a little on the small side compared to the pictures I was expecting a bit more. It was clean never the less, the only thing was there was a crack on the floor in the bathroom that needs repairing, when the shower mat was down it was ok but does need addressing.

Breakfast was average, nothing special and be prepared for the small tables and small plates.

Would rate this hotel personally as a very good 3 star.

Very well located close to the place de l’étoile and walking distance to the Champs Élysée. Convenient public parking either side of the hotel. During this COVID period I found that the hotel was very conscientious in keeping areas clean and sanitised. The room was clean and and bathroom modern and very airy. Breakfast was served in the lobby (thank you Colombo and Comores) or in the room as you chose. Staff extremely professional and friendly with special mention to Christian who was intent on making sure that our stay was perfect. Thanks also to Fahad.
This will be where I stay in Paris from now on.
Merci à toute l’équipe.

Again we spent another magnificant stay at this little gem of an hotel in the centre of Paris.

My wife and I first of all want to sincerely thank both Anne-Claire and Christain at reception for making our stay so enjoyable. We notified ahead that my wife had had
both hips replaced and requested if possible to have a room with easy access shower
facilities. Our request was more than met as we were offered a most beautiful room. Thank you again for such a nice gesture.

Not only at reception are Anne-Claire and Christain very helpful but throughout the rest of the hotel, we found staff very helpful and attentive.

Nothing is too much when asking for details about restaurants, transport and general
information about Paris or needs within the hotel.

We just like the cosiness and the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel, its proximity to the centre and to the underground.

We shall definitely be returning again to our little gem as it just feels like being at home.

You can tell what the hotel is like as soon as you arrive. While we were going through the checking in process we were presented with hot towels to refresh us after our journey. A small gesture, much appreciated, that set the scene for the rest of our stay.
The hotel which is in an ideal location for sightseeing and handy for the Metro, is modern, stylish and spotlessly clean. The staff are all friendly and professional, going out of their way to help at all times. My wife felt ill on the day of our departure, the reception staff, especially Anne Claire, were very attentive and caring up to our departure time, once again much appreciated.
The buffet style breakfast is great! there`s a wide selection of hot and cold food which is of excellent quality.
There`s lots more that I could add, but suffice to say that I strongly recommend The Balmoral for your trip to Paris!

I stayed in one of their two balcony suites, which wasn't cheap. Upon entering the room it smelled of mildew, which is probably why when I returned from a day out they'd gone in and opened one of the balcony doors to air it out and moved some of my stuff around, which was concerning. The carpet was absolutely filthy and full of stains so I'd recommend wearing the little slippers that come with the robe in the bathroom. And that sofa looked like it had gone to war and back. Replacing it with something from Ikea would be an easy, inexpensive upgrade. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was great. I loved their bath products and the water got hot quickly. Housekeeping came in unannounced one day while I was using the bathroom with the door open. That was embarrassing and startling...and frankly weird. At every hotel I've stayed, housekeeping announces themselves before busting in. The front desk staff was meh. They made a big deal about me traveling solo, saying they'd expected a couple. I'd emailed twice to say I'd be solo. But I still don't know why that was such an issue. They brought it up so much it made me uncomfortable. And then I was told that because I was one person in the suite, I wouldn't have to pay the city tax. Turns out that was false. No biggie, but please be on the same page and don't renig. The breakfast did not look appealing. Boiled eggs, tiny pastries and cold cuts left out on a tray for 18 euros. I walked around the corner to Lateral Cafe and had THE best breakfast for 17 euros. Fresh squeezed oj, a hot drink of choice, a huge croissant, 2 fried eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, and a bunch of other bread. If you stay at Hotel Balmoral, skip the sketchy breakfast and walk around the corner to Lateral. And people watch while you eat. Anyway, on my next trip to Paris I'm going to skip the unnecessary, judgmental, and nosy concierge/help desk and just book an apartment.

Dear Sir, I am absolutely sure you will find a better service in an Airbnb, front desk , housekeeping, concierge will be at your service. And no problem with cleanlinese which is a strength of all Airbnb appartments as every body knows... and for the breakfast, ours is an all inclusive buffet which absolutley not the case at the Lateral Cafe.

Stayed here for 2 nights from 12 March. this is a tiny hotel, rooms are very small you can barely move around . Breakfast had very limited options. They really had nothing much to offer no gym no spa the ambience was dull.
Location is ok as train station was abut 30m away and Champs Elysee 7min walk. The best i think is the staff they were very helpful thumbs up to them.
Overally i was dissapointed considering the amount of money i paid totally not worth it

Madam, we are a little bit surprised ans disapointed because we remember very well your check out; we asked you if everything was ok and you did not mention any inconvenience. you booked a classic room, which size is 15 sqm, average typical size for such a room in most 4 **** hotels in Paris. You should have asked for a larger room to my front desk, we would have been happy to upgrade for free. We do not have gym nor spa, it is perfectly mentionned in our website and on all online travel agencies. So no bad surprise about that.... Kind regards.

We spent a few nights here in March. The hotel is very well organised, from the directions to the hotel from Gare du Nord to the breakfast spread. The hotel is only 20 mins from Gare du Nord and just 2 minutes from the nearest metro--Charles De Gaulle Etoile. We used the RER to get to the hotel, but you can use the metro too. So long as you are in paris, your ticket is valid for RER and metro.

I really enjoyed the breakfast and the jovial gentleman (on duty during week-days) who looked after the guests in the breakfast area. He ran the place with quiet efficiency and always greeted us warmly each morning. Coffee and pastries are available in the same area in the afternoon.

Despite its central location, the area was quiet and there wasn't any loud noises in the evening. We stayed in a standard room and all our needs were met. A handy tea and coffee tray was available and a mini fridge. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to our next visit to Paris.

We were very satisfied about the location near the champs elysee and arc de triomphe and at the Metro 1, breakfast was very deliscious and the rooms are not so small and very stylish for our opinion. The Stuff in the hotel was very sympathic and always friendly and helped all the time. Hot choclate and coffee in the hotel at the afternoon was for free. that was also very nice. We will come back!
