The staff especially people in the reception was so accommodating! We had numerous requests and they really did their best to fulfill them! 5 stars for that. The only problem we had was that the elevator was small but still this does not take away much of the hotel's perks and value! The room was extremely comfortable and clean!

I stayed at 'Hotel Vendome Saint Germain' with my father last week. When we were there, the manager was very nice and kind. He told us the rights and good directions when we asked for it. Breakfast was either nice there. Toast, croissants, bread, things that you can put on the bread and more stuff. We liked the food. We...

We arrived a day early and needed a room for 3 people, when I booked I thought I got one room for the low price, but in fact they gave us two rooms for the price quoted. Friendly staff, decent location close to Notre Dame. Would stay here again. Beware, the breakfast buffet is 12 Euro....pass on it and go...

I spent a couple of nights at this Hotel located just a few steps away from the metro station Cardinal lemoine. Despite of the size of the room I've to say the staying was fine. Staff is friendly and the hotel is clean

We visited this hotel as a couple last weekend for 3 nights. We were impressed with everything about the hotel. The reception area is lovely and welcoming, as were the gentleman on the front desk. We were given room 22 on the second floor which has pretty little window boxes complete with flowers - even in winter. The room was...

We had a great stay at Hotel Vendome. We loved the renovated room, with a very good bed and clean and comfortable bathroom with a spacious (rain) shower that we liked a lot. We were lucky with a room at the back of the hotel, so it was very quiet, no noise from the streets. The only thing is that...

The hotel is very conveniently placed near to the Metro and a short walk from the busy Saint Germain district where there are lots of interesting bars and restaurants. We received a warm welcome, and shown immediately to our room, although we arrived earlier than the stated time. The room was not over-spacious, but quite adequate for two. The bathroom...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
