Neighborhood
Opéra / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.

I have stayed at this hotel 3-4 times since the 1990s, and it is an excellent value in terms of location. It is on a square just off the Avenue de l'Opéra but so quiet, you would hardly know you're in a major city. Solo travelers may be given single rooms up on the 7th floor, where I have stayed. The views of Paris are inspiring, but these rooms can be reached only via a narrow winding stairway (after the elevator ends on the 6th floor), and I wouldn't recommend them for anyone who has trouble walking. The rooms I have stayed in are tiny, with little storage space, but everything works fine, most notably the air conditioning, which can cool the room down in minutes. The hotel has charm and is run with love by staff members eager to help. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who wants spaciousness and luxury, but it is a good buy with character and atmosphere.

I spent 5 nights in this hotel and it was great. Amazing location it is the best (it is so close to the public transportations, cafes restaurants and shops as well as the tourist attractions). Clean, quiet and small room, the staff were so friendly. I highly recommend this hotel and I will go back for sure.

I just stayed there for 3 nights. It is very central, about 7 minutes walk from Louvre and the Opera (and behind the opera, Galerie Lafayette). 50 minutes walk to the Eiffeltower and 30 minutes walk from Notre Dame along the Seine. At the same time, the hotel is «hidden», so it,s no trafick. There were nice pubs, bistro’s and restaurant’s around the corner (literally spraking). The room was clean and on floor 7, I had a great view of the city. The temperature outside was record braking high (42 celsius), so I sa really satisfied with the air condition. There is someone in the reception 24/7, which I think is great. There are only 28 rooms in the hotel, so the working staff know what room you’re staving in. They spole English perfectly, they were also very friendly and service minded. To me that is important! I’ve been to Paris maybe 20 times before, and this is by far one of the sweetest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I would revommend it to anyone and I hope I get to stay there the next time I’m in Paris. Thank you!

I would highly recommend this hotel. Staff was wonderful. Great location on a quiet street yet only a 3 min walk will put you on the main rue l’Opera street. 9 min walk to the Louvre! We stayed in a triple room and was surprised how spacious it was for a Paris hotel. If you do the hop on hop off bus, the main stop is a 5 min walk. Can’t say enough about this great little hotel.

Walking distance to the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay. Near 3 metro stops, around the corner from the Opera. Helpful desk staff. Very nice, snug room with comfy bed and nice bathroom. Very clean. Quaint building, spiral staircase, tiny elevator. Staffed 24 hours. Would happily stay here again! Great value! (Was a little splurge on a budget vacation for us.)
