Due to my job, I often travel to different countries. This hotel was beyond my expectations. After reading various reviews I took the wrong decision to book a room here for a week. First of all, the beds are really tiny. They can't accommodate 2 person without pushing each other and trying not to fall off. But I understand, it is a hotel in Paris, did not expected bigger rooms. On the other hand, we could hear the guest on the next room talking, their TV, their water running while taking a shower and even in the morning their phone alarm going off! Moreover, the room lighting is very poor. Just one weak lamp provided on the desk and two weak lights provided on the wall. One was not working by the time we arrived, but they fixed it the other day after mentioning it. However it was not enough and couldn't work or do online meetings. Lastly, I asked at the reception for an iron. The answer was" sorry they took them". When back to my room, waited for over 30 minutes, went down to see if they became available but still nothing. When I told him that is it unacceptable for a "3 stars" hotel to have just 2 irons (as he told me prior) he laughter into my face. That's not a proper costumer service any client would like to encounter. If you are still thinking of booking at this hotel, then I wish you good luck!…
As the title mention it, it is really small. the room has a big bed, a small table, and a closet with a safe. A Modern Tv with a USB plug hanging on the wall. A small fridge has different sodas and juices and some chips for 3 euro each. The bathroom was clean and comfy, equipped with a shower cabin, hairdryer and provided 3 towels. the only thing is was not even one electric socket in there. the room itself also lack of sockets. We have visited the hotel in January, outside was about +8c but the room was cold for me. no heating radiator just an AC converter but that was able to make a pleasant temp. but the floor was cold, thank god the bed was high enough. It also was a bit dark, but clean and the bed was really comfortable! 3-star hotel but providing pillows in 3 different sizes and consistency, and branded shampoo and soaps. the breakfast is good and enough in a lovely mini restaurant. great selection of jams, honey, bakery products, cereals, cold cuts, French cheese and butter, and good coffee. The staff are English speakers, helpful and super friendly ! the 13. metro line (station Permity) is about 100m by walk. We came to an Exhibition which was held at the Paris Expocenter Port de Versailles, which is about 20 minutes from the hotel. 8 minutes walk to the tram station and the 3rd station is the Expocenter. If we are visiting Paris again, this Hotel will be ours again!…
We spent New Year 2020 in Paris, with Hotel Atelier Montparnasse as our base. The hotel is set in a local town area in the South of Paris. We really liked the street - local cafes, restaurants, boulangerie etc - adorned with Christmas lights. A little shabby in places, but with a great local community feel. Walking into the hotel we were greeted with a lovely toasty-warm lounge (great fire), and an equally warm welcome from the reception staff. Our room was a superior double room - larger than the standard rooms and facing the street with lovely large opening windows and a juliette balcony. The room was spotlessly clean, as well as our bathroom. Both were warm, perfect during our winter stay. The bed was firm and comfortable - we both slept really well after a busy family Christmas. Extra bedding was in the cupboard if needed. Staff were all really friendly, helpful and very accommodating as we tried out our poor french on them. We even chanced a conversation about Brexit. Reception is staffed 24 hours per day. We did have breakfast in the hotel one morning but, like other reviewers, preferred to go down the road for a cafe breakfast, if only to get a feel of local culture and people. Metro workers were on strike during our stay. This did limit our travel around the city a little, but we still had a great stay over the three nights. A big "Thank you" to the management and staff at Atelier Montparnasse who made our stay over the New Year (and our engagement whilst in Paris) a wonderful time. Definitely recommend.…
When we came to check in we were a little early so the front desk was able to hold our bags for us while we explored. The location is nice, close to a bunch of things like restaurants, bars, groceries, a park, and the eiffel tower is walkable distance from there. Check-in was very smooth. Room was small but comfortable, what we expected in the middle of the city of Paris. Bathroom was clean and had everything we needed. We had to leave early the next morning to catch a flight, so we didnt get to experience breakfast there, but the little breakfast area looked cute. Would come back to stay again.
stayed at this hotel as it was in the budget that we had. Its says its a three star hotel and it may well be. The staff were very friendly and helpful. the metro is literally a 2 minute walk. You can feel the metro in the breakfast room as it goes by underneath.. there are a few supermarkets within easy walking distance of less than 3 to 4 minutes. there are some places to eat as well as grocery stores and bread shops all nearby. This is not in the center of Paris but then its a rather quite area. The rooms had air conditioner which is a plus for Europe. The bed was fine a bit small and the bathroom was really small but did the job. Breakfast was fine with all the regular products coffee tea granola, cheeses, meats, bread, yogurt etc The metro being so close makes the whole of Paris near by.…
Traveled alone to Paris and this hotel did the job. I would recommend it to couples on a budget too. This hotel is not for families or those expecting a 5 star hotel experience for this price. The rooms are clean, comfortable beds, modern bathrooms and a safe location. Cons are the location and YOU CAN HEAR THROUGH THE WALLS! I'd give the hotel a higher rating, but the fact I can hear my neighbors really made sleeping there uncomfortable. It's a big hit to this nice hotel. If this isn't important to you then I'd say this is a 4.5 star hotel. There is only 1 metro stop very close by which you have to take to get into the Paris action. The only tourist thing that's walkable to is the catacombs. Paris metro is fantastic though. Overall if you're staying in this area I'd recommend it or if you're a solo traveler or a budget couple. If this is your first time in Paris I don't recommend it. It's not convenient and you'll probably spend more on Uber's trying to get back to this hotel than if you stayed closer to the city center.…
Positives: very clean, comfortable bed, good location next to metro, supermarket, restaurants, fruit stores and pattiseries close by, staff friendly. Negatives: room and bathroom extremely small, but I believe this to be normal in Paris. Anyone bigger than average would struggle to fit in the bathroom. The shower was really powerful but too much for the drainage so floods the bathroom.
Stayed here for 2 nights with my son after cancelling other unsuitable accomodation. Booked and arrived within 30 mins. No issues with check in. Manager (?) very friendly. Cute breakfast area. Room was perfect for what we needed. Very clean.
We had a wonderful stay. We booked online prior to our stay, referred to by our parisianne friend. The rate was lower due to the advanced rate but you had a limited cancellation timeline due to the advanced pay rate. The hotel was very nice and very safe. The rooms were smaller but that is the way of urban hotels anywhere. They had a great shower. Space was a bit limited for our baggage but we managed pretty well. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. They served a very nice breakfast for an extra charge. There were many cafes, patisseries and restaurants in the area so it made for a great location and you could purchase continental beakfasts in cafes for a rate lower than in the hotel. The subway was just a block away. We would defintiely stay here again. There were other hotels on the same block but they were more expensive.…
My fourth time at this hotel and for sure will be many more. They do accomodate us well and yes rooms are tiny but is Paris and I dont want to spend time in a room. The neighborhood is so Parisian and it has everything you need so close, pharmacy, boulangeries, restaurants, wine shops, metro etc. We get flaky croissants every morning at the boulangerie across the street and it is such a wonderful feeling. Pernety metro station is a couple of blocks away and it connects very well to all of Paris however we do walk almost everywhere from the hotel. This place is a great value in Paris and in a great location. Staff is very polite and when you are a returning guest they do show their appreciation. Going back soon.
