This was actually a fantastic place to stay with a lovely atmosphere. Great location close to the metro although if you're willing almost all great Paris attractions are walkable! Lots of nearby local restaurants and street vendors! The hotel itself was clean, staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and able to to speak English far better than our attempts at...

Bonjour!!! I usually don't stay in 2 star hotels so I was not too sure what to expect upon arrival... However I felt this hotel was a perfect choice! It is located right beside moulin rouge, close to many restaurants, pubs, Starbucks, metros and bus stops. Yes, the hotel is maybe bit tired looking and yes, you can find few...

I arrived early and had to wait in the living room. Meanwhile, the female receptionist was on the phone, loudly criticising her colleague who had just finished his shift... What a first great impression! My room was old, the side table was broken and the small light on the desk was dirty and old. Room was very hot so I...

A small non-chain hotel, very reasonably priced by Paris standards. Clean, quiet, very well located just round the corner from the Place de Clichy metro station and with friendly staff. Some French a distinct advantage. No lift and for anyone who has trouble with stairs the spiral staircase could prove a problem - especially with a suitcase. Personally I found...

We arrived in Paris on Friday 10th April 2015 as i was running the Marathon. We had booked a hotel to find when we arrived it was double booked. The hotel is located in Montmartre area which has plenty to offer. With cafes and shops within walking distance, you don't have to use a lot of the metro for your travel. The hotel is located only about a few minutes walk to the nearest metro station (Place de Glicy). The room is small but clean. The spiral staircase is...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.

“I guess with a limited budget, it's impossible to have a hotel with all the things fabulous. Decide what criteria are non-negotiable for you and which are those you can leave a few days without. With your standards trimmed down to what is important, its now easier to decide on which hotel you will pick to stay. Here are my comments for this hotel.”
