The Hotel Aiglon is idealy located in the heart of Montparnasse, the famous artist’s district of Paris. The picturesque neighbourhood with its art studios and cafes is a wonderful place to be on a Paris city break. This splendid hotel of 46 rooms has recently refurbished the building, the lobby, the library, the breakfast room and most of the rooms in the spririt of the twenties, with wonderfull mosaic (in the bathroom and at the entrance of the hotel), nice cutains and wallpaper for an intimate and warm atmosphere.

Cute little hotel. Quiet rooms. I have stayed there 4 or 5 times. Great location as it is close to everything. My favourites things: the "mosaïque" decoration in the bathroom and their amazing breakfast. Nice staff at reception.

Hotel's Favorite
We decided to stay in this hotel for our last night in Paris. We wanted to stay in the Montparnasse area due to the easy accessibility to Orly airport. I did not want to deal with the headache of Paris traffic in the morning. I wish could have stayed in this hotel longer. The room was a great size and we had ample closet space. We especially loved how the windows opened up to a nice little balcony. We had a king size bed it was quite comfortable. When you walk into the main lobby, it smells clean and relaxed me immediately. The front desk staff was very courteous and patient. There were daily newspapers and chilled water upon our arrival. It was a lovely hotel to wrap up an excellent trip. Our last night in Paris was a great experience and I am glad we stayed here.

On the positive side, this hotel is extremely conveniently located , close to the metro and with many restaurants on either side of the street. You can practically walk anywhere from the hotel. On the negative side, everything is very small, which is to be expected in Paris , but the hotel rooms are in need of renovation, it gives you a feeling of not being entirely clean. The hotel staff is attentive but not overly friendly. if you are not very demanding, then it is the hotel to stay.

I stayed at this little boutique hotel for 3 nights. Everything was mostly on point! It was extremely clean - the cleanest hotel I've come across in a while. The room was very comfortable, exactly what I needed. There was a glitch with heating in my room half way through my stay, but this was promptly rectified - a very good electric heater was provided. Check-in was fairly straightforward, staff were pleasant. Two reception gentlemen were particularly warm & friendly - one who provided me with a heater, & another who helped store/retrieve my luggage - I unfortunately didnt get their names. The rest of the staff could be warmer/more welcoming. Location wise - the hotel is perfectly located in the 14th arrondisiment, on one of Paris's wide boulevards, & is 2mins walk from Raspail metro (line 4 & 6 I think). Highly recommended! I will definitely return again.

I planned a family trip to Paris and saw this hotel on Trip Advisor with positive reviews. The rate was competitive (with prepayment), so I booked it. We LOVED it. My wife is a hotel snob and she fell in love with this hotel. The trip was for her birthday, so I knew things had to be just right. It was purrrr-fect! The staff are so friendly. And if you’re not fluent in French, no worries. As advertised, the hotel staff are fluent in English (and other languages as well) and will kindly converse with you as need be. We booked a room with a separate bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. This worked perfectly for our family (we were traveling with one kid). I was a bit confused by the online description of the bathrooms. The description referred to a bathroom with “separate toilets.” There were actually two bathrooms. One was a full tub and shower with a double-vanity (no toilet). The other was a toilet and single-vanity. I’ve not seen this set-up in the US, but it worked perfectly. None of our family was ever waiting to use the bathrooms. The hotel is super-clean, no smoky smells or anything. Just great. Also, My wife is like a bloodhound, and she never smelled anything but good scents. The appointment of our room and throughout the hotel was very up to date and attractive. The Mosaic tile was the most beautiful I’ve seen. The room was also very sizeable. It was clear there are lots of older hotels in Paris. There are also over-priced chains. This one gave the best combination of classy beauty and updated features at a very reasonable price. In terms of location, I don’t know how it could have been better. We were one block from the metro train station. And the bus stop. Lots and lots of restaurants on our block and surrounding area. If you are interested in seeing the Louvre and Eiffel Tower and Champs Elysee and Notre Dame (which was closed for repairs while we were there), this was a perfect location, less than 10 minutes by train from these attractions. As an FYI, you probably don’t want a hotel that is right near to these attractions. Those areas are crowded and loud. But our hotel was in a very quiet neighborhood that felt less touristy while still in close proximity. I honestly can’t think of anything negative to say about our experience at Hotel Aiglon. It was perfect. Even the prepaid breakfast was a bargain for our family—it was an an extra €20 per day. It was not the best food, but it was good enough given we were staying one week and didn’t want to overspend to eat every day. We just rolled out of bed, took the elevator down to the breakfast room (la salon de petit-dejeunier), and enjoyed great cafe-au-lait with eggs, croissants, eggs, pastries, cheese, cereals, juices, milk, etc. I will definitely stay at this same hotel on my next Paris trip. It was luxurious, affordable, professional, super-clean, and fabulous all-around. Wonderful!!!
