We were very pleasantly surprised with this 3-star budget hotel in the 10th Arrondisement of Paris. Our party of two had booked a twin room for three nights, with one guest only staying for one night due to travel circumstances.
Here’s what we liked about the hotel:
1. The room was extremely spacious, with two double beds which were very comfortable.
2. The interior presentation of the room was fairly contemporary, decorated in a shade of pale grey with accents of maroon. A large window bathed the room in light; there were appropriate black-out curtains for a comfortable sleep.
3. The room was street-facing, but the street is not a main road and the noise level was negligible.
4. The room was spotlessly clean, and smelt fresh.
5. The bathroom was very spacious. Towels were changed daily. Some basic toiletries were provided though we always travel with our own. The shower area needed a shower curtain to contain the spray, as the water tended to go everywhere.
6. A kettle, and sachets of tea and coffee were provided in the room.
7. Breakfast is provided at an additional charge in a small dining room beside the Reception area; we did not have breakfast at the hotel.
8, The hotel offered good wifi with easy connectivity and reasonable download speed. There were ample power sockets for charging devices.
9. Reception staff were courteous and welcoming; the Reception area appeared to be staffed all the time.
10. The hotel is budget friendly, the daily room rate is good value for the standard of accommodation provided.
11. The hotel is in a good location. It’s equidistant between Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est; both mainline stations and their Metro stations are no more than a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The heart of Montmartre is a 30 minute walk away.

The only thing we didn’t particularly like about the location of the hotel was the the plethora of young males gathering around in the streets in the afternoon and evening, trying to discreetly sell you cigarettes and other goods. Hotel guests just need their wits about them when walking to the stations, and to make sure belongings and wallets and purses are safe.

We would certainly stay at this hotel again.

We needed a hotel close to the Gare Du Nord, and this was exactly that. Only a few minutes walk away. We were only there for one night but we did enjoy our stay.

We stayed in another hotel in the Montmartre area for 4 nights - a very different vibe in these 2 areas. This is the sparkly wedding accessories area, if only I was looking for a dress!

The hotel reception was clean and welcoming. The rooms were spotless and this was the most comfortable bed we slept in over all the hotels we stayed in. Aircon was quiet and cold, blackout curtains worked a treat and the shower was great.

The reception staff were all friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was good - a fair selection of everything you'd expect, in a lovely breakfast room.

Nothing too much trouble for the staff who we found to be helpful and friendly. The breakfast was enough containing pastries, bread, yoghurt, granola, fruit, slices of meat, cheese, eggs that you boiled yourself in a machine and scrambled egg with sausages. Hot drinks and cold juices. Beds were really comfortable and we slept well. Outlook from the window was over a back courtyard but we weren’t in the hotel during the day so not an issue. All in all a very nice stay.

The hotel was suffient for an overnight stay. It was a short walk from Gare Nord. The room was small but very clean. Had an opening door to a small balcony facing the street. 24 hour reception made me feel safe in an area that was busy at night. There was an elevator which made taking luggage up stairs was no problem.

A quick stop in Paris and a chance to compare budget hotels in Oct 2023 having just stayed a couple of weeks before in the area for the rugby. I had booked a twin room and asked for a quiet part of the hotel. Beds were not pushed together and the bathroom door shut properly so better than another hotel locally! Shower good and hairdryer provided.

I found the staff really helpful (safe in the room was a bit tricky) and polite. They also offered a bag drop as leaving from Gare du Nord on a later Eurostar. We didn’t try the breakfast but on till 10am. Thank you Hotel d’Amiens.

We stayed here in three rooms, two twin and one triple. Clean and comfortable, nice basic breakfast. Two adults and five teenagers. Only two streets from Gare du Nord (and Est). Staff were functional, rather than friendly, but they had no problem keeping our passports and some money in the safe, and we left our luggage after checking out, as we had a late flight home. Average £20 per person per night. Bargain ! Would stay again.

I stayed at this hotel for 3nights in September and it was great! Only a few mins walk from the Gare du Nord station (eurostar terminal) and about a min to the nearest metro entrance. Although there weren't many tourists attractions within walking distance - the metro is easy to navigate and can get you wherever you need to go quickly!

I stayed in a room facing the little street the hotel is situated on. Initially i thought the noise from the street would be a problem but when I closed my window the noise dissappeared! The room itself was larger than I expected, clean and the double bed was firm and very comfortable. Bathroom had a decent sized shower and also had a stand for the shower so you didn't have to hold the shower head! Rooms were cleaned daily with towels, soap and shampoo replaced every day. But by far and away the thing that made my stay most pleasant were the two ladies at the reception especially the blonde haired lady (I'm so sorry I didn't catch your name!) who bent over backwards to help me with every little question I had and also helped me to order a pizza after an exhausting day out!

A few downsides too. The hotel is not located in a very pretty/good part of Paris and as a single female traveller I did not feel terribly safe walking the streets at night. The walls are also a little thin as you can hear noise from surrounding rooms and the hallway but luckily for me, my 'neighbours' didn't make much noise! And last of all the hairdryer was weak at best so make sure you wash your hair in the morning so you can dry it in the sun!

But for the price, this hotel is a fabulous find and I would not hesistate to recommend this hotel to friends and family. Thanks for a lovely first trip to Paris!

if you're searching for a budget hotel, this place is it.

this hotel is near by the metro and easily accessible from
CDG airport, its about a 5 minute walk from the gare du nord stop.

it's about a 40 minute train ride on th B line(blue color on the map). i also purchased a week passed when i arrived monday, the cost was around 28e, additional 5e for
the passport size photo for the pass. visit parisbytrain . com, it's a great website with info and photos on how to find the train after exiting customs, where to purchase tickets and take the photos.

the hotel has a big Hotel D Amiens sign outside of it. at first glance of the location upon arrival, the area looked sketchy but it really isn't. plenty of people everywhere during all hours, i was out till 4 am almost every night and didn't feel threatened at all. there are several women beggars with children nearby though.

the check in was quick, about 5 minutes. i was handed one key and a piece of paper with the wifi info.

my room was on the third floor around the corner from the lift. the hallways are narrow and the walls are thin. doors seem to slam open and close through out the night as guest comes and goes, or brief conversations in the hallway. for the most part, it was fairly quite till about 10 am, that is when the cleaning begins and the guys outside my window begin their daily conversations with music.

i had a full size bed(two twins together)it was perfect for me, it's on the firm side. the blankets, sheets, and pillows all smelled clean/fresh but i didn't have any towels.

i walked downstairs and asked for towels, 5 minutes later, my towels were delivered.

the room is small but it's good for what i paid for. there were no ventilation control for the a/c. there is a window but no screen, you can also here the guys down there talking and playing their music while they do work. i don't think it's construction because i didn't hear any tools or loud pounding, just talking and soft music.

the room does not offer a clock, fridge to keep food/drinks cold, no coffee or hot water maker in the room but available all day downstairs.

the bathroom is also small but it comes with a small sink, toilet, and a stand up shower only - what else do you need in a bathroom. it also has a hairdryer with a 220v and 115v power source on the hairdryer unit. the rest of the outlets in the room were 220v.

the room also had a flat screen tv mounted on a wall in front of a desk and chair next
to the open cabinet. the free wifi worked well in my room during early mornings and late nights.

i wouldn't say this hotel is nearby to any attractions, the closest one was the palais garnier

it was about a thirty minute walk from the hotel, from there i kept walking and found myself somehow at the musee de louvre. i just walked and wandered around on foot, it was a lot of walking but i also discovered different areas on my on pace - avoid the hop on off bus.

plenty of restaurants near
the hotel, chinese fast food that closes at 22:00, LaCantina which seems to be open all night, japanese and several halal places. my favorite place was about a 10 minute walk from the hotel, it's a pizza place called picolla pizza.

if you're on a budget, book this hotel. it's near the train so it's not difficult from getting to and from the airport, the area is safe with plenty of restaurants.
