I stayed in October for 14 nights. I stayed because the price was right for a long stay. Also, because it is centrally located. Usually, I book a room to fit four people eventhough we are two, when staying in a city center to get a bigger room and an extra bed to place our packs. The room was really...

I was booked in to this hotel for a work trip and had a terrible experience which resulted in me having to move hotels very late at night. The room itself was very small with no separate bathroom (toilet and shower were behind a glass screen next to the bed). When I entered the room there was a terrible smell...

Contacted the hotel the day before check in and was informed by the owner that the room will be ready at 12 noon. Upon arrival the room was not ready and had to wait in the lobby for more the half an hour. Stayed for two nights and had a 9:20am flight the day of departure - asked the staff...

I was upgraded from another hotel to this one, I got a bigger room but I also got woken up at 8am by the building work going on on the floor below my room (you know, that pleasant sound of drilling that sounds like the dentist), and the walls were paper thin so I could hear everything in the room...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, hotel is renovated, everything is clean, the bathroom was with tub and window, the triple room was smaller, but nice. The location is perfect, you can walk to the city centre or you can use metro, which is 2 minutes from the hotel. Breakfast was good, but quite expensive (15 EURO).

The location of this hotel was perfect. It is very close to Galerie Lafayette, Madeline, Louvre, etc.. The staff was very friendly. The rooms are small, but clean. It is a nice hotel to discover Paris.

Stayed in this hotel with my young family during a city break and the location is great. Friendly staff who were happy to help. We had a triple room with a cot for baby which was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. A big positive was the secure, underground parking at extra cost. Negatives were that the breakfast is very expensive...

I don't mean to exaggerate but this hotel makes me fall for Paris even more. First, the location is great as the famous Gallerie Vivienne, Passage Jouffroy, Bouillon Chartier (which are some of my favourite places in Paris) are within walking distance. Second, the triple room I was staying was on the top floor and one night it was raining...

Stayed here twice now and both times had "Paris" sized rooms that have recently been refurbished. Very comfortable and clean and the breakfast is Continental. It's great for business as it's close to Opera / Auber metro station. Staff are not over-friendly but always polite and helpful and tolerant of my attempts to practice French! It's not low price at...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.

“If you want to save money, walking is okay, but be in good shape. From this hotel, the Eiffel tower is a 45 minute to 1 hour walk, but wonderful sites along the way. Or, take a bus or a moto-taxi. Moto-taxi is a lot of fun; about 30 Euro.”
