    Great hotel at reasonable price
This hotel was a great find for our family of 4, staying 3 nights. Clean, comfortable rooms - we had two adjoining rooms on the first floor, 5 & 6. Lots of light and the beds were very comfortable. The included breakfast is generous and fresh, and the service at breakfast was especially good and friendly. The breakfast area in the bar is also very inviting, at the bottom of the large atrium so it feels very open. Only a 5-10 minute to the nearest Metro (Cambronne, #6 line). The roof deck was a nice touch though we only used it once.
Dear Paul C, We would like to thank you for sharing with us your opinion and posting such a nice comment further to your family stay at The Wallace. We are delighted to read that our connecting rooms where particularly appropriate and bright to accommodate the 4 of you. At Orso Hôtels, we pay a special attention to families with kids, who can enjoy costumes and bedtime story. We appreciate you mentionning our generous and fresh breakfast where bred and croissants come from the best bakery of the neighbourhood, granola and fruit salad are home-made, and where the best jams on earth are served. We simply cannot wait to welcome you again to your Parisian home. Stephanie B.

    Splendid Hotel
My daughter and I stayed for a few days last week at this hotel. Whilst the room was small it was perfectly adequate sparkly clean and additionally had a kettle and a coffee making machine. The continental style breakfast was delicious . All the staff friendly pleasant and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again. Finally it was located in a nice area conveniently near a Metro so all in all excellent.
Dear Sharron, We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Wallace, and we thank you for the nice feed back. We put special effort in the confort of each room, and to make your feel welcomed with us. The breakfast includes only fresh or homemade products, with event croissants and bread from the best bakery in the neighborhood. We are looking forward to welcome you again. Best regards Piotr at the front desk

    Junior suite - recommended!
We spent a weekend in the Junior Suite with Eiffel Tower view. I had made some requests and an amendment to the booking prior to arrival and the hotel and the staff were really helpful. Their communication was excellent and they were even nicer in person. Thank you Marie-Pauline for your help! As mentioned in other reviews, the hotel is located a short walk from the metro and various shops and restaurants. The suite is great; modern and really clean with lots of great features. (The pictures on here don't do it justice). The terrace with its hot tub and sauna is used for drinks by guests at the bar downstairs and was pretty quiet when we were there. I made the booking despite there being a limited number of reviews on TA but we're glad we did. It's been recently refurbished and is very smart. We'd definitely recommend it and would love to go back!
Dear D4vidL, On behalf of the entire team of The Wallace Hôtel & Bar, I would like to thank you for posting this review which totally made our day! We were so happy to read your description of our premises, including our Junior Suite with its stunning view on the Iron Lady and we have already relayed your compliments to our concierges, especially Marie-Pauline, who were thrilled by your kind words. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back again soon at The Wallace, when you next visit Paris. Best regards, Stephanie B.

First time to Paris. Hotel is in a great location, which is safe and only twenty minute walk from the Eifel Tower, its 5 mins walk to the nearest Metro. (Rue Commerce) Rooms very clean, beds were comfortable. We could see the Eiffel Tower from our room. The continental breakfast was basic. Piotr who was on the reception when we arrived was very friendly and so helpful. What a lovely guy. Would like to thank him for being so supportive. He recommended a couple of restaurant's and helped us with our transfers. One of the restaurant that Piotr recommended was, Le Café Du Commerce on Rue Commerce. A traditional Priscian restaurant. Excellent meal, we eat there twice in the five days we were there. We recommend you have good feet lol and good walking shoes as we did a lot of walking.

This hotel looks way better on the website and in photos. The room felt like a rip off. We stayed at a much nicer hotel in a cooler area for half the price the same week. I think we wouldn’t have been so disappointed if we hadn’t booked it specifically because it looked cool. Also the first room they offered us literally had a tiny window onto the INTERIOR of the building. The second room they gave us was better.

Dear Sir, Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review as you promised you would do. I feel very sorry that you found our rooms too small when you actually had one of the biggest we have in our hotel. They are also the typical standard left bank Parisian size, and correspond to the standards for a 4* hotel. Indeed, we have been granted with 4 stars 18 months ago shortly after our opening further to our complete renovation, by a recognized organisation. Concerning the service you received from our staff, we shall keep reinforcing our trainings as we constantly learn from feedback such as yours, so that we make sure situations are solved quicker from now on. This issue was totally beyond our control as an external engineer had to come to fix it and it was not available until the next day. We also could not suggest you to move to another room as the hotel was full and our rooms for people with reduced mobility as you needed it, were all occupied. Since you had two rooms booked with us, you had the possibility of using this second safety deposit box so I sincerely hope this has not ruined your Parisian family escape. I also would like to emphasize that all staff members speak at least 2 foreign languages in addition to French: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, and I am sure you cannot have missed that since you spoke to several of us and we adressed ourselves to you in at least English, Spanish and Portuguese as we had understood you speak these 3 languages yourself. I personnaly spoke to you in English untill you closed the door in my face and threatened me of a bad Tripadvisor comment when I was trying to found a solution, apologize and offer a compensation. I would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you and I hope you accept to give us a second chance when you next visit Paris. Very best regards, Stephanie B. General Manager

The rooms are extremely tiny. It was honestly rather difficult to be comfortable. The front desk staff was extremely slow. This hotel is a part of the IHG network/ Mr and Mrs Smith Network but they did not provide the IHG benefits. I would spend a little more money and stay elsewhere or try to get a bigger room. We could barely sleep in the rooms, they were just uncomfortable honestly. The location was super convenient for the price though. The Eiffel Tower was walking distance and they had so many cute local spots next door to the hotel where locals go. The bus and trains were also close by. The hotel had a hot tub too which was a perk, but at one point the hot tub was SO hot and we asked them to change temperature and the man said he doesn’t know how to. Granted this was in the evening, but the man told us the hot tub is open for use but he couldn’t change the temperature. However when the temperature was right, the hot tub was very enjoyable and relaxing. They also have a terrace bar where the hot tub is located, only open some days. The drinks were quite good but a bit pricey. Locals would hangout at the rooftop bar for its quiet and serene location. At one point the bar ran out of lines/lemons also. Overall I think the management of the hotel was bad, they didn’t have limes, the front desk was super slow, nighttime staff knows nothing. They also didn’t have soap bars, which I have never heard of before but I guess it’s okay because it was a boutique hotel. If you want to have a good location, stay here but don’t expect to be comfortable in the room.

Great staff, very helpful! There was a very slight problem with the bar menu, but that was straightened out satisfactory. Very comfortable bed. I would add one more chair to the room. The hotel was very clean and the house staff did great servicing the room. Many places to eat just feet away, and close to the Metro #6!

Good location, nice rooms but small. Nice view from the roof terrace. Unfortunately I had some problems with the bill as the Hotel charged me twice and was not helpful in sorting it out, only referring me to my credit card company who confirmed I had been charged twice. When I sent reminders to assist with the problem and asking for the name of the manager, they simply stopped replying and wouldn’t answer. That is not good customer service in my opinion so for that reason we won’t be returning for another stay,

Just got back from a 3n stay at this beautifully decorated hotel, and had a great time. The front desk staff were very warm and helpful, and our room was gorgeous- top floor suite with a view of the Eiffel Tower, and a private terrace. Loved the double sliding doors and the skylight, the beds and pillows were super comfortable, lovely bath and amenities- absolutely top notch! Would highly recommend this hotel, and would absolutely stay here again, if we get another chance to visit Paris. Thank you so much for a lovely and relaxing end to our 3 w vacation covering 7 cities.
