My boyfriend and I had a bit of a struggle from the Gare Du Nord station trying to find the hotel at the beginning. With taxi's pointing us here, there and everywhere on where to walk and some taxi's saying it would be a 20 minute drive costing us over 50 euros (watch out for these scammers) when we KNEW...

You can not beat the location of The Hotel Palm in Paris. It is an easy 5 minute walk to Cadet which will zip you to the Louvre in no time; or Notre Dame de Lorette which will zip you to Pigalle or Concorde in a flash. Bus #42 will take you directly to the Hotel from Gare du Nord;...

This hotel exceeded all expectations for our budget trip to Paris. The location was excellent, the staff speaks perfect English, the free breakfast helped keep us energized for our days of exploration, and the rooms were small but very clean. In short, it was nice to not have to think about hotel issues during our trip. Seddik was particularly helpful...

This hotel is an excellent base for exploring Paris. Particularly convenient for Montmartre and Sacre Coeur, which are in walking distance, but well-positioned for taking the Metro to all the key sights. Open mini-bar and lobby bar is a novel idea and saves you a fortune, especially as you can visit any of the 16 Astotels in Paris for soft...

Booked a great value package through Easyjet including breakfast. We found the hotel perfect for a 4 night stay. Friendly staff, convenient location (close to Metro and Gare du Nord), the room was clean and comfortable, fresh towels every day if needed. The rooms are not large but there is adequate storage, mini bar was replenished with water/soft drinks every...

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Palm for one night from February 6th to 7th. The young people running the place were outstanding!! Especially helpful were Fayssal and Laurine. Our every need was provided for, one of many examples: our converter for power did not quite fit the outlets, we were cheerfully provided a converter that worked (free of...

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Palm for our week in Paris. The staff are very polite and helpful. The rooms are simple, but very functional with nice bathrooms. Even though there was a cold spell during our stay, the rooms very warm and comfortable. Everything was very clean. The breakfasts offered a nice variety of continental fare...

Hotel is ok - i was expecting better! Rooms are quite small. And it was freezing in the room even with the heating on as there was a breeze coming from the balcony doors and the bed covers were so thin. I didn't find the breakfast to be anything special - lots of pastries which were ok and the eggs...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
