First it is on a dead end street so for Paris, REALLY quiet. It's a boutique...13 rooms?...hotel and I would by no means call it modern, although the Bathroom is, the location is phenomenal...a wonderful neighborhood, 7 minute walk to Notre Dame and LOADS OF SPACE

My second visit. Very charming hotel on a quiet street in the Latin Quarter. Front desk is always willing to help with reservations and suggestions. The breakfast room is small, but in a good way. The bathrooms are very modern and housekeeping does a great job. I shall return.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The front desk staff were always courteous and helpful. The location is fantastic, and because it's a small hotel and a bit tucked away it was very quiet. I slept well here. Note that the hotel is pretty tall and narrow---there are ~6 floors with 2-3 rooms each, and breakfast is in...

Wow this is a great hotel. Staff are good, friendly and helpful. Room was huge, kitchenette is small but I wasn't there to cook, (had a fridge, hot plate, microwave, sink and cutlery) so great for tea and coffee for me and cereal in the morning. Bed room and living room big. It was great to be able to sit...

The hotel has made excellent use of every inch. The reception desk is inches from the front door and the lobby "salon" is small but so well decorated and pretty. Trompe l'oeil painting is effectively done on the walls of the basement breakfast room. Despite the small size of this room, the tables have enough space and you don't feel...

Quaint, charming, lovely hotel in a neighborhood we know and love, near the French University system. Staff was responsive, helpful and welcoming. Suites were great with small kitchen and great bathrooms, perfect for couples or three people, possibly a couple with two small children. Quiet convenience with two outdoor food markets, many restaurants and fantastic public transportation steps away. Comfortable...

My husband and I just returned from a nine-night stay at the Hotel Residence Henri IV over the Christmas holiday. I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel highly enough...it met and exceeded all of our expectations and was an absolute home-away-from-home during our stay. From the moment we booked, the staff was communicative and helpful via email, answering all of our...

Hotel was quaint, bathrooms new and updated. The rooms itself were okay. Lighting was a little dark. Close to shops l. Restaurants and stores. Front desk was very helpful too. Will definitely stay again.

We could not have picked a better place to stay within center of Paris. All museums we wanted to see within walking distance (if you don't mind some stiff walks), and the hotel staff was super friendly, and responsive. The room was what a boutique hotel room should be like, with the added benefit of microwave and fridge. Not that...

This is our third time there. Each time it's excellent. Clean, quiet (for Paris), comfortable, low-key, and the folks at the front desk generally couldn't be more helpful. They even dealt with French Customs when a package we sent ahead got dinged. I doubt we will willingly stay at another Paris hotel in our lifetimes.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
