My stay in Paris was at the Hotel Rivoli Paris in the heart of the Marais. The hotel is a decent and clean hotel which is perfect for a short stay. It isn't a very luxurious hotel and the breakfast was not really extensive but the price and location made it worth the stay. Just a 5 minute walk from... More

We stayed in a three-person room for a "girls trip" to Paris. A hotel room with three separate beds is rare in Paris and we were happy to find Hotel Paris Rivoli. The room was definitely tight for three beds and three adults, but for the price we paid, we didn't mind. The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom... More

Stayed here for two nights whilst on business in Paris. I was given a complimentary upgrade which was very welcome as this meant I got a room with a balcony and tea/coffee making facilities. Staff were friendly and spoke excellent English which made check in and check out very easy. The road outside is very busy so can be a... More

We stayed at this hotel for three nights during our first trip to Paris. At check in, we were warmly greeted and were given a nice run down of the area including some maps that highlighted area attractions/bus/metro/etc. The staff was always helpful and friendly. We had a room on the fifth floor, which from reading other reviews, looks to... More

This hotel is in the best location in Le Marais. It's located on a major street and is convenient to the main subway line that takes you to Champs Elysees/Arc de Triomphe and Louvre. The bus stop right across the street takes you straight to Eiffel Tower. Le Marais is an awesome area of Paris with lots of restaurants (all... More

Wonderful hotel mostly beyond Marios the daytime reception clerk. He gave us so much information before we had a chance to ask. He gave us a late check out so we had a chance to get organized before our flight home. The room is small but the washroom spacious. Small fridge in room. Breakfast adequate. Totally central location. Walking distance... More

I've stayed here 4 times now and sorry to say was disappointed this time. Though last September the lift was not working one day when returned to hotel with shopping and had to walk up. Started okay, though elevator was out when we left for dinner and had to walk down 7 flights of sometime dark winding stairs around service... More

I spent many hours researching Paris accommodation and areas to stay. I was delighted with this choice. The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful with suggestions of what to do, where to eat and where to explore. I have visited Paris many times and stayed in different areas, Le Merais is now my favourite. The hotel location is perfect,... More

First the good points. The hotel is in an excellent location, and within a short walk of the St Paul Metro station, with lots of street café's, bars and banks in the vicinity. The hotel provides free wifi which worked well and was quite quick. The superior rooms include a better quality bathroom, shower robes and a kettle. The bed... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
