Detailed Reviews
Best Western Aramis Saint-Germain is a good choice for a budget friendly hotel in Paris. It is located close to several Metro stops and great food options. We opted for a standard room with a double bed which was actually 2 twin beds pushed together with separate bedding. The beds were comfortable and clean
We were able to check in a bit early which worked well with our arrival. There is a very small (1 person + luggage) elevator to bring you to your room. The stairs are very steep and narrow to accommodate the small footprint of the building. The room and bathroom were very small, for US folks, think a dorm room with a double bed in the middle. Being a taller couple, we had some issues in the bathroom as the sink was basically on top of you when you sat on the toilet. The shower had sufficient hot water but the flow was a bit low despite only being on the 2nd floor. Everything was clean and the cleaning staff did a great job ensuring everything stayed that way our entire visit. The thermostat didn't seem to work as our room got very warm every day and we often resorted to opening the window to cool off.
We opted to not pay for breakfast (16 euro per person per day) since there were some amazing restaurants and boulangeries less than 2 min walk away.
Overall, this hotel met our expectations for a budget hotel in Paris.

The hotel has very friendly staff, the room was quite spacious and we appreciated the constant cleaning, the possibility of leaving our luggage on the last day was excellent. The view from the room was very suggestive and the location of the hotel was very strategic in relation to public transport.
If we were to return to Paris we would love to return to the property

We were happy with the cleanliness and location of this hotel, however the room was very small and the service was not what we expected. We requested that a taxi be reserved for us on the last day to take us to the airport. We specifically requested a van or similar size to accomodate all four of us and our luggage. A small car (Prius) showed up which barely handled two of us and our luggage. We were very disappointed and had to pay extra money for an additional cab to accomodate our needs. Also, the bathtub was very unsafe and I had to help my husband in and out because of the way it was configured. And he had to help me. Very slippery as well. Also, we had trouble with our air conditioning, it kept shutting off and it was very warm in the room.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We apologise for your dissatisfaction. We are investigating with the taxi company concerning this incident. Our technician has fixed the air conditioning. We are providing hand rail for the bathtub and will replace the tub at the next opportunity. We hope you may consider a return visit so we can have the oppportunity to provide a superior experience next time. Best regards, General Manager

The most important thing for me in a hotel is a good night's sleep, especially after big time change. The rooms and baths are small, but very quiet and the beds, linens and pillows were comfortable. The staff was very helpful and polite. The location is very close to two metro lines and the Luxembourg gardens. The hotel breakfast is simple but puts the typical American hotel breakfast to shame. The are several typical French cafes nearby and a terrific Thai restaurant just a few blocks away.

Excellent service, excellent location, bus stop at the door and metro station at the corner. The room in fact is very small, but as I was alone was OK. The water pressure in the shower is little, if you are waiting for a shower will be disappointed. But a pleasant bath is possible.
I had trouble with the heating, for my standard the room was cold, the reception - however - provided an electric heater that solved the problem.
The cost x benefit x location is very positive - I would return

A lovely and welcoming hotel, very well located in Saint-Germain close to Montparnasse, right across the street from Saint-Placide Metro. Amazingly friendly staff who looked after us and our every need. We booked well in advance and were given a spacious and light-filled double room, on the fourth floor with large windows facing a quiet back street – at a very reasonable rate given the prime location and high standard. Impeccably clean room and facilities, good security, comfortable bed and pillows. Wifi worked fine with Teams meetings for a couple of hours work at the room desk. Breakfast at the hotel or take a pick from very good boulangeries and restaurants you can literally see from the hotel entrance. I can highly recommend Hotel Aramis (and Paris in April is probably as good as it gets when choosing a Euro city long weekend). À bientôt!

The hotel is very well located, there are a couple of convenience stores one block (Carrefour and Franprix). On the same street there is a metro station and numerous bus stops along the street. The room is very small, it is known that in Europe the rooms are small, but it is really small, that is the bathroom is very good size. It is very clean (I found a boat that they had not emptied the day I arrived, beyond that, everything fine). The staff is super friendly.
The area in general is safe and has a lot of influx, both day and night. On one side and in front there are two restaurants that at night have many people. In the surroundings there are all kinds of amenities.

We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend with friends! Hotel excellent location close to two metro lines (Saint Placide and Renne). A modern and well-kept hall and the breakfast room also available for having a quick lunch with take-away food or simply for relaxing with a book. Very friendly reception staff.

The hotel is across the street from Saint-Placide metro, which was incredibly convenient for traveling to other parts of Paris. The only problems I bumped into during my stay was with the air conditioning. I know that when travelling to Europe there oftentimes may not be air conditioning. I have no problem with this. However, I chose this hotel partially because it advertised air conditioning and I knew the weather was going to be pretty hot. The first night my room's air conditioning was not working. I asked the front desk if they could help. They ended up moving me to a different room, but the AC also did not work there. Rip. I asked for a fan. The front desk gentleman informed me that he had distributed the last fan just a few hours previously. So invest in more portable fans! Other than this mishap, this hotel is a great option for travelling on a budget, especially for solo travelers. The room was somewhat small. This was fine for me, as I was travelling alone. The bathroom was very nice and not cramped like others I had experienced. There is a little cafe and Asian restaurant across the street from the hotel that I frequented most days! I believe they were called Thevenin and Nezard. Additionally, I felt pretty safe staying here as your room key opens the otherwise locked front door at night.

Dear zoe4travel, Thank you for taking the time to post a reviex. Glad you enjoyed your stay. The hotel has a reversible heating/air conditioning system. So heating is available in winter, air conditioning in summer. Unseasonal weather can be awkward but we will certainly find a solution. We hope we may have the pleasure of welcoming you backnext time you come to Paris. Kind regards, General Manager

This is a comfortable botique hotel in the middle of St Germain. You are a few steps from bistros & bars. I was here for the Olympics & I simply had to cross the street to catch the subway to everything. It was hot outside but my room was very nicely air-conditioned. It was also quiet. I found the staff to be outstanding and helpful. There was a large typical continental breakfast with hard-boiled eggs. Be aware that a standard room is "cozy". For me to set up the luggage rack would involve blocking the balcony or making a tight walk around the bed. 2 big bags? I have no idea. There are shelves & drawers if you don't live out of your suitcase. The room was clean, modern styling & the bed was quite comfortable. I would stay here again.

Yes, there is an elevator, servicing basement to 5th floor.

We used Uber. Great response, accurate and reasonable rate
Instead of a taxi you could opt. for Uber. I used it when leaving to get from the hotel to CDG. It's often cheaper. Outside rush-hours it is 30-40min. But during... Could be easily over an hour!
The RER + Metro as mentioned by others is very easy to use. Station is nearby hotel, as mentioned above. Takes about 50min. and is cheaper than taxi or Uber.
If you have doubts or want to check timing, apps like Google maps or Mapper will provide you great info. Buying ticket also is not too difficult. The machines support multiple languages.
