Lunch costs 14 euros, a few mini pastries to create an illusion...and almost nothing else. When asked why, don't you fill the salad bowl with the scrambled eggs? The manager answers me shamelessly that it's because afterwards it risks getting lost. To please me, he serves me scrambled eggs straight out of a tray from the fridge, cold of course. There is an espresso coffee maker but we are not entitled to it for us it is thermos coffee. In other words I threw away €14. I never leave reviews but...

This hotel is situated in the middle of many asian restaurants. There are also fastfood chains like mcdonalds and KFC infront of the hotel. There is also an asian supermarket just across the hotel. I believe there is also a mall on the other side of the street but we werent able to visit because of our tight schedule. The rooms are small but manageable. The bathroom is clean but some tiles are broken. They also dont have much free toiletries just a soap. We didnt avail breakfast since there are lots of different choices outside. It is also walking distance to the trainstation. We just encountered a little confusion upon check out as we inform the front desk officer that we consumed 1 cola in the minnie fridge and we will be paying it by cash. He check on his computer and told us that no need to pay as its for free. But after a minute it was charge on our credit card. We werent able to clarify because we are on a hurry for our uber ride. Overall we are still happy with our stay.

Clean and very quiet rooms. Well heated. Negative things: too small and inelegant to charge upon arrival. Hotel well located in the beautiful Place d'Italia area. Close to the metro and a nice shopping center
Very polite staff
I recommend changing the carpet outside the rooms

Small hotel in Place d'Italie.
Located a little far from the center of Paris, but with the metro 50 meters away you can go anywhere in a short time. The distance from the center is an advantage in terms of noise, because there is very little traffic and welcoming places that are not too crowded throughout the area.
Small but welcoming, bright, clean room; room cleaning and change of bath towels every day.
Friendly staff is helpful; one of the receptionists also speaks Italian very well. Excellent value for money.
Advised!

The rooms are OK, except that the sheets were stained. The gentleman who greeted us at reception was unprofessional. As soon as we arrived he belittled us because we are a young couple. There were thoughts like "you have to think with your head" when we tried to collect our luggage when we were leaving. It’s not normal that we pay for a hotel to be disrespected.

Checking in was a breeze, and I was pleased to find a clean room with a sleek, modern style. The hotel’s location is fantastic—just a short walk to the metro, which made getting around so easy. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept great, even though my schedule was tight. I only wish I had more time to enjoy the space! Definitely a great spot for a convenient and comfortable stay.

I stayed here two nights after I got a decent rate via an Internet booking site. The hotel room was clean although small (but most Parisian hotel rooms are). The neighborhood is pretty good - convenient to the Metro, near a big shopping center, with lots of restaurants and cafés nearby. Place d'Italie is not touristy at all - it's a neighborhood where real Parisians live and as such you might actually have an authentic experience with the locals, and it's very near the Butte aux Cailles which is an interesting location and the Jardin des Plantes, well worth visiting. Considering that the room rate was good and that the location was very practical for what I was doing (attending a conference nearby) I was happy. And the room was airconditioned, a definite plus in Paris in June.

The only unpleasant part was that the breakfast buffet is hideously expensive (11 euros) and the food (some cereal, basic yogurt, a few slices of ham and processed cheese) is below average. Milk in a jug had gone sour, coffee comes out of a self-serve dispenser, and the general atmosphere is depressing. Save your money, and go out (either across the street to a bakery that offers breakfast, or buy some croissants in the area and have coffee on a sidewalk cafe).

I doubt I'll go back - something a little too impersonal about the hotel and the sour milk put me off. This is a mediocre little hotel - won't kill you, especially at that price, but if you are looking for a great memory, you might want to stay away.

Dear Sir, We just found yours remarks regarding your stay in our hotel. So we reassured that the location was very pratical for your conference, we are not situated in the paris center, so in a area quiet , around the second largest shopping center of paris with the famous parisian department store THE PRINTEMPS; Concerning the breakfast, we are surprised, because generally ours guests are satisfied by the quality and the friendly atmosphere. So we are very sorry for this disappointement, definitively, we will be very happy to welcome you again to prove that our hotel is not a mediocre little hotel I am at your disposal to offer you breakfast. Best regards CORINNE

My wife and I spend three nights at this hotel from August 15 to 18. (Having stayed at a bad Paris hotel years before, I was especially interested in having a better experience this time around).

I did. The hotel is safe, clean and professionally run. The rooms are small but clean, with great bathrooms and minibars (I would never buy expensive minibar food, but they always make great fridges, don't they).

The hotel's location in Place d'Italie was convenient for metro access. We also found bus #27 very frequent and useful for getting to Notre-Dame, the Louvre, Opera, etc.

Definitely recommended.

We stayed at this hotel in May of 2004 and we were very disappointed. We had been to Paris before but my husband and I were bringing his parents to Paris for their first time as a present for my father-in-law's 60th Birthday. This made it all the more important that the hotel was good. The hotel looked really nice on the web but was far from it. Even allowing for the fact that this is a tourist class/ budget hotel I would have to say that this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. There are other hotels in this category similarly priced which are much better value for money. We were first given a really poor room with a separate toilet and bath were you could barely close the door in either for the lack of space. The hairdryer was broken, the bed linen was dirty. The list goes on. When we complained the staff were not all that sympathetic but we were eventually moved after the first night to a room across the hall which was better. On the plus side the bathrooms are clean and the breakfasts are quite good but I wouldn't recommend staying here. In fact it has really put me off ever staying in a Best Western hotel again. This hotel nearly spoiled what was otherwise a great time in Paris.
