My plan was to stay in a less touristy Left Bank neighborhood, but close to my destinations. And it was perfect, exactly what I was hoping for - near little bakeries, fishmongers, wine store, flower shop, and boutique clothes stores (not the generic chain brands). Plenty little cafes around. Short walk to St. Germain and Luxembourg gardens, and several metro... More

I have been coming back to this charming hotel for the past few years now. The stars of this hotel are really the employees who go out of their way to make you feel at home. There is Valerie, Doa, Sophie, Agmed, Tekin, Maria, Helen and Pana. Some of these employees have been in the hotel for years! I love... More

I chose this hotel as I wanted to be close to the Gare Montparnasse. And I was very glad that I did. The staff, my room (very good A/C!), close to several Metro lines: all of these were big pluses for the hotel. Especially the staff who I seem to ask a challenging question every day (where can I find... More

My friend and I had a wonderful stay, and was treated properly. Until the last day, one make employee treated us very poorly and I would say that affected the rest of my trip. He was very rude and did not treat us as we should have been. So if you liked to be treated well as a customer I... More

We spent a 3-day weekend at the Sevres Saint Germain Hotel before leaving for 5 days in Venice and then returning to the hotel for a second 3-day weekend. The hotel allowed us to leave our extra luggage when we left for Venice which was a great help. We enjoyed our stay in this small, historic hotel which has retained... More

This hotel was perfect! The best part of all (and there were many) was the front desk staff, in particular Doa. Extremely helpful with information, recommendations and various tickets. She and the others made my daughter and I feel welcomed, and confident in venturing out for sightseeing. The neighborhood is pretty and we felt safe. Our room was small by... More

Get the hotel pickup if you arrive early morning or afternoon peak hour, took us 1.5 hours and Ahmed had his foot down. Simple breakfast, with a nice bakery a couple of doors down. Went to Epi DUPIN restaurant around the corner for our first meal and had the 3 course for $38 euro each, very nice indeed.

Terrific people; you couldn't ask for a better balance of friendliness and respect. I've been coming back to the same hotel for more than 20 years because of these people, and several of them have been there for the entire time. The rooms have been recently refurbed, and are comfortable though small. Good location to walk throughout the center of... More

Attention to your comfort, friendly and warm. Clean rooms and beds. Ask for a bath in colder months not all rooms have them. Very good location 2 minute walk to the gorgeous Le Bon Marche and great bars and cafes

The staff is very welcoming and accommodating, including early check-in to take a nap after arriving on an overnight flight into CDG (lifesaver!). The location is great for sights, metro, and restaurants with a patisserie next door and a Bon Marche half a block over but on a nice quiet side street. The lobby is cute with a nice sitting... Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
