Stayed here for a 4 night break. Staff friendly and polite. Reception staff helpful with directions. Special mention to the lady who serves breakfast who was so polite and an asset to the hotel. Rooms are cosy but enough space to walk around. Lovely view of Arc de Triomphe from our room. Rooms cleaned daily’ toiletries supplied. Location is ideal to visit all the main attractions.

Very neat and clean hotel, excellent location... just steps away from champs, breakfast was good... room is very very small... the staff is very helpful and good... staff make all the difference... the hotel is in a very beautiful building

The shower didn’t always have hot water. I think the room was very old and used. There were a lot of marks scratches and things broken. I think for an executive room it isnt what you expect. Again the room was old worn and used. For 200 euro’s a night i expect a better and newer room. The breakfast was PERFECT. I really LOVED it. The people working at the hotel were very friendly and helpfull

Loved this hotel! We are a family of 4 who visited Feb 2020. Everyone we met was a friendly, approachable & knowledgeable. Our room was perfect, spacious & clean. Location was ideal, close to cafes, bars, restaurants, the metro & 5 mins from Arc de Triomphe. Beautiful building, would love to return!!

We were booked in here in February and on arrival discovered that the place had awfully small rooms. We had booked two rooms in a party of three . The atmosphere was dreary with no decent facilities, bar etc. We turned around and walked out. They have insisted nonetheless to charge us full rate for a stay we never undertook. Unfriendly staff. Rip off Paris I guess

Dear CaptainJohns888, Thank you for your recent review on TA which obviously raised a big concern to me. First of all, I would like to apologize that we did not meet your expectations. I am really sorry to read about that on TA as we exchanged by email prior your post, and you did not share your concern with me. I will personally get back to you, however I wish to share few information for our readers. You booked 2 rooms by phone with my team who took the time to explain to you the differences between them: the first room, a single one of 9 square meters and the second room, a deluxe room of 22 square meters. The arrival of the single room was one day before the arrival of the deluxe room. You checked in but checked out only some minutes later without taking the time to hear the opportunities of upgrade that we had for you. My team had some solutions for you, but you decided to leave without any further explanation. Moreover you did not came the next day for the second room without notification. If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay, then this is it, the view was another selling point for me. The taxi service was very good, so was the housekeeping. The hotel was a beautiful building.

Good location to main shopping and accessible to tourist attractions. Hotel staff service were good and always willing to assist. The staff do understand English if you speak slowly. But hotel decor and facilities are on the old side.

We stayed at the Royal Hotel and from the very beginning it was perfect. Our arrival was early so we thought we leave our luggage and come back later. But no we welcomed and taken straight to our room. This set the tone for all of our stay. Everyone was welcoming, friendly and help. We felt like it was our home. Best location, lots of restaurants, sights wonderful bedroom suite for husband, son and myself. Our room was just lovely with our son’s area across from our part of the room. Views out to the were wonderful. No street noise when the windows were closed. Thank you Hotel Royal and everyone we met, it was wonderful. We will be back.

Where to start. Booked this hotel as part of a trip where I planned on proposing to my now fiancé. I hadn’t stayed at the hotel before but the location seemed perfect. I reached out to the hotel and the manager Deborah got in contact quickly, explaining she would do her best to secure a room overlooking the arc de triumph, as well as some other additional token gestures. The room is by far the best view in Paris, from any hotel I have stayed in. We couldn’t believe it. To wake up everyday and be able to clearly see the arc de triumph and the Parisian streets was a dream come true. The staff are so friendly and polite, catering to every need we had. The location is absolutely perfect if you want to hit the shops on the champs elysee, and is roughly a 20 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower as well. This hotel has become part of my fiancée and mines history, we are so looking forward to coming back in March 2020. I can not recommend this hotel enough. Thankyou to Deborah and the team!!!…

A wonderful looking hotel in an excellent location, with Arc du Triomphe in sight up the road and a metro station on the corner. Everything was easy to get to. Breakfast was fairly standard and vastly over priced. WiFi was iffy at best. The constant humming noise of the service lift (?) or underground metro (?) or both (?) took some getting used to. Still, mostly great staff, helpful and full of ideas. Good atmosphere. I’d use it again. But I’d get breakfast elsewhere.
