The room was small but ok for a Parisian hotel. Lots of attention has been put in the decoration, it looks nice and cosy, bathroom clean and functional. Desk was real small and not very practical though. Lack a power plug by the bed to charge phone during the night. So all would be fine BUT: 1) There was a... More

At two minutes walk from Montparnasse railway station, yet in a quiet side street (at least as far as I can tell, since my room was located on the backyard). Plenty of cafés and restaurants around. However, the breakfast price is outrageously expensive (13.50 € !) and I would advice have your croissant with a cup of tea or coffee... More

The negative reviews in this hotel may have one valid point: we too had a small hotel room. However, anyone who has stayed in an affordable hotel in the heart of a dense urban hub knows that the bedrooms are usually very small. After all, who (besides honeymooners) goes to Paris to spend the day in the bedroom? And frankly,... More

Stayed one night in a twin room. The hotel staff were friendly, room was clean, beds comfortable, breakfast was sufficient.. Overall a great place to stay if looking to stay in the Montparnasse area.. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

This is a no frills hotel in a great location. The hotel is surrounded by a lot of cafes and creperies and is a two minute walk from two metro stops (Edgar Quinet and Gaite). The rooms are very small and the bed was a little uncomfortable, but not bad for the price. There was one usable power outlet in... More

Disgusting, rooms are not that big, right outside a sex shop, don't know how to change a bed sheet, some staff are friendly others are rude... Check in is at 2.30 they also charge you a tax fee... Just don't go here at any cost it's really not worth it

Good hotel to travel. Location is very good and stuff is very kind. But I feel sorry without refrigerator and bath tub in the room. Elevator is not small, but little bit old. Most inconvenient thing is electric outlet is stopped when main light is off.

This was advertised as a 4 star hotel? We booked a secret deal on Priceline and this is what we got. Of the brands listed of hotels on the secret deal, this was not one of them. Not sure how they got this rating as they had few of the amenities that would go with a four star. In my... More

The hotel is ideally situated within a couple of minutes walk of the station at Montparnasse. This was our third time of staying and we were not disappointed. There are lots of excellent bars and restaurants close by, transport links are excellent and it is a really friendly area.

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
