My wife, me & our 2 boys (5yr & 7yr) went from San Francisco to see Paris for the 1st time during the winter break week. We reserved Hotel Beauchamps for checkin 02/17/20 & checkout 02/19/20 (2 night) & paid thru princeline.com. In our 2nd & the final night at around 10 pm we came to our room after all day city tour & tried to open the door but the opener card was not working. My both the boys already tired, sleepi & older boy wanted to go the bathroom. I went down to lobby to replace the card & they said they blocked our room due to 5 people staying in the room. I asked them how they knew we're 5 & they said they saw us in the camera. (I did not ask them if they have camera inside the room!) I said we are the same 4 persons -2 boys & my wife. Then right away they said we cannot stay 4 persons in the same room & said we have to pay for another room & we have to sleep two persons in eachroom. I told them our 2 boys are 5yr & 7 yr & how they would sleep in the separate room & asked them why you guys did not tell us when we were checkedin on 02/17 when we 4 were together infront of you guys at the lobby. They mentioned that the employee who registered us at the checking was not well-trained & that was her mistake. Both the employees were very rude & they gave us 2 options - either leave the hotel with NO refund or get another room. I was totally lost. We had next morning flight at 7.25am & had to leave the hotel for CDG Airport by 4am that night. In a foreign country, in the mid of the night, my older son 7 yr boy was waiting for longtime to use the bathroom & the hotel employees threatened to call police if we stay in the same room without getting another room. We did not have any other choice - they forced us to get another room for $128.54. It's totally unprofessional & unethical and the total situation was very scary. I am not recommending this hotel to any person. There are thousands of hotels in Paris. Please go for another hotel NOT this one. BTW They put nice pictures on the booking site but the reality is different -rooms are very tiny, old, smelly, dirty, dark & suffocating. The elevator is barely can fit 3 persons. Stay away from them.…
Excellent hotel, rooms small but very comfy, especially the beds!! Walking distance to shops and attractions, restaurant also but have to book, definitely stay again, hopefully later this year!! staff very polite and helpful, would highly recommend 😊
If this is your first trip to Paris, you are better off in the Latin Quarter or Marais or St. Germain--this is not the prettiest part of Paris by a long shot. I was there for business, and for that purpose, this hotel has larger than average rooms, which were clean. The buffet breakfast was good (eggs, sausage, cheeses, yogurt, breads and jams plus some mini croissants and nice Numi loose-leaf teas). The staff were my least favorite part of this hotel. There were a few really friendly staff (a black female server at the buffet breakfast, a younger guy on the day shift, and a black man who was at the desk one night--I mention race only because they were the only two black employees I saw and also happened to be 2/3 of the friendly employees I encountered, so if management reads this, they should be commended/promoted/etc.). Many of the other staff members were unfriendly. On a last night, this hotel is close to subway stops on both the purple and yellow lines and is about 20-25 minutes by train from the Paris Nord station (no need to transfer).…
So near for a shopping center and a number of grocery stores and restaurants . The rooms are small and dim but clean. They have very accommodating staff. They do not offer free breakfast but there are free unlimited coffee and juices at the lobby.
I've been to paris like 30 times and stayed on several places. This hotel is located on my favourite and most central location for special occasions like new years eve. It has clean and well decorated rooms. However I e-mailed the property and talked to someone named Orlando. I told him to take care of old parents and pleace them to a nice Deluxe Room with a VIEW . And when I arrived with my fiancee 3 days after my parents I saw both of our rooms are facing towards a WALL and a FIRE ESCAPE. You cant even see how is the weather like outside! The most romantic holiday experience right ? Not finished. We had a new years dinner 10 mins walk from the hotel (which we didnt know at that time). The reception told us to take a taxi and called one. We were stuck on traffic for 1 hour and nearly missed our reservation. So we got off the taxi and my 70 years old parents had to walk like 50 minutes in a huge crowd. If the hotel didn't misdirect us and warned us about the probable traffic and road blocks we could enjoy a more suitable evening with much less effort and stress! So I would say this is not the friendliest staff I've seen. I'm not thinking of staying here again but if you are looking for an economic and comfortable solution right in the center of champs elysees this hotel is good for you. Also I have never seen or heared such a thing as a room deposit which they never mention but you have to pay when you arrive and they give you back when you leave. They also charged my credit card twice (online) but when I asked the reception staff they told me that they have no information about it but asked me to send them the bank a transaction. I'm still waiting for the refund so be carefull.…
