Even with ear plugs in - the traffic noise and train noise kept you awake - had to shout at each other and if the telly was on, turn the volume up to max !

Most economical take the RER "B" line from Roissy to Gare du Nord (10€) then take Metro line #2 Direction Charles de Gaule Etoile and get off at Rome. The hotel is a 7" walk up rue de Rome. More comfortable, take the Air France "Le Car" to Charles de Gaule Etoile for 17€ each then take a taxi to hotel 10€. I have to warn you that the hotel's internet is pretty useless because they block sites which prevents me from reading The New York Times or even certain restaurant reviews on this same site.
