End of January I booked 2 nights at the Villa Eugenie as a base to see the sights in Paris. I don't know Paris at all so was unsure as to the convenience of the location. It turned out to be less than a 10 minute walk to the metro so from that point of view it was fine. There...

Good points: The receptionists were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The villa is close to bus stops, and a rail station serving the outer suburbs and into central Paris. The decor is pleasing. There is a self-serve, continental breakfast. The room temperature can be controlled, and if you want it hot, you can have it hot. The WiFi worked well,...

Dear guest, Thank you for this long review. Please accept our apologies about the mentionned issues. We try to offer competitive rates, and actually the price 70gbp seems right for a standard room in low season. Renovation will start shortly, we hope to see you again here. Truly yours

If I had to summarize my stay at the Villa Eugenie in two words, it would be "good enough." Booked this hotel through Expedia; I got an unbelievable deal on the flight and airfare to Paris. I quickly learned on arrival that I got what I paid for. The hotel is clean enough. It's old and tired. The carpet needs...

Dear Alexis, Thank you very much for this review. The hotel will be renovated shortly. Try us again. And remember the train station "Pont Cardinet", just accross our streat, on stop from Saint Lazare station connecting with the main metro lines. Best regards.

Super nice staff. That said, small, (tiny) room, nice sized bathroom. Marginal breakfast, (Hampton Inn Breakfast would come out the winner). Poor location for subway, (8 minute walk to Rome station). Our room was on an upper floor above what must have been the central competition zone for "how loud can trash pickup be at dark-thirty-in-the-morning!" Incredibly small elevator that...

Good, clean, nice staff. Quiet surroundings. Likable. Stayed for a night only. Will recommend this hotel with no reservations. Room is compact but good sized. Fixtures a little old but not overly. Small balcony. Well lit. Decent sound proofing.

I switched rooms 4 times because of issues with cleanliness and not being up to standard. When I checked into the first room the bathroom was visibly dirty. The toilet had brown residue inside the rim of the toilet. There was a lot of dust and the room was small. We have never had 4 star accommodations so terrible!

The room was cozy and small the hotel is right next to the train station. The location is far from down town center but nice for a 1-2 nights stay. The decor is lovely and gives you the feeling of what staying in old Paris would be like back in the day.
