It’s the second time I went to this hotel on a business trip. Whereas last time I had a very nice customer experience and the reception staff was welcoming and friendly, this time I had a rather unpleasant experience. At check-in things started of badly as after having handed over my ID I was asked to fill myself in additional personal data myself on a newly installed gadget, a tablet. I asked receptionist why I would have to fill in on a tiny screen my birthdate, address, phone number and email address if all of this had already been provided at my last visit and on top was available on my ID card I had just given them and was all included in my business reservation. The repo se from an rather unfriendly staff member was that this is the procedure and the Tablet had been installed last month. I told them that their tablet gadget may be helping them to do less work and let their customers do it l, but that I wouldn’t fill it in for them. At this point the manager had joined the two receptionists and the situation was bizarre as I was facing 3 members of staff wanting me to do their work. I offered them that I would leave the hotel and go next door to another hotel and I was even prepared to pay for the room. The manager eventually seemed to have understood my point and apologized for the inconvenience. It’s a shame that someone in their management seemed to have had a great idea to digitalize their check-in procedure but obviously hasn’t checked what customers would say about doing the job of their staff. All this has nothing to do with the hotel which is well located, clean with nice rooms, but please dear Amelia management: read this and think before you come up with such weird ideas. I haven’t decided yet if I will be back in a month from now for my next visit.…

It's really a hidden gem hotel. This hotel location is superb. It is in the center of shopping center with all the high end stores. Shop until you drop. A lot of restaurants are in walking distance. It is also close to museum and park. It's very convenient. The hotel itself is a very classic style building. It's not like high rise modern hotel. We like this hotel a lot. Our room is the corner room with king bed with 3 old style big windows with flowers. The carpet of the room is a bit old, but it's fine with us. Bath room is average with old and decorated tiles floor. The breakfast in the hotel is delicious with a lot of variety. There is also have a hot station so the chef will make you eggs the way you like. The receptionists and Marc (the door man) are very nice, and cheerful as well as all of the personnel in the restaurant. We definitely stay here again when we come back to Paris.…

Melia Vendome is located in the high-end shopping district. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a larger room with separate shower and bath tub plus a couch/sitting area and 2 TVs. Room was very nice and roomy. My only complaint is that the beds are not comfortable.

This is our third trip to Paris, this time celebrating our 25th Anniversary. We picked this hotel because of location and the brand name. We hit the jackpot on both. Place Vendôme is in the very heart of Paris, close to the Louvre and to the Opera. Melia is a well-know luxury hotel brand. But our review is not about the location or the hotel chain. It is about the people who work in Melia Vendôme Hotel. We felt welcomed, from the first minute. We stayed for 18 nights and every morning we saw the front desk staff with a greeting and a smile. The manager send a card and a gift for our anniversary several times during our stay, and that made us feel grateful. The small details are the ones that leave you great memories forever. I do not recommend. We switched hotels and had a much better stay at lower rate. Cleanliness: mouldy and dirty, stained and wet carpets, rooms and halls smell, rooms are not clean, carpet was disgusting. The AC and heat do not work. Really run down property. No restaurant. No room service. Housekeeping Staff: we were given attitude when we asked after days to have the bedding changed. Housekeeping staff throws your belongings on dirty floor and does not wipe anything down. The bedding smelled like mildew. Concierge: we were given attitude and told it was impossible to book a same evening reservation at a nice restaurant. We took this on ourselves and were easily able to find dining. Hotel refused to help book. Check-in: slow Check-out: charged wrong card, refused to call taxi. Bellmen: great, they are contracted out. Very helpful. For the price, this is just an awful stay. The dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. Rude staff. Should be a 2-star. No amenities, no service, no helpful staff. We had two rooms for a week. Switched to Chateau des Fleurs for less a night and had an amazing stay there. …

Very nice hotel right in the best location of Paris, close to everything u need, metro, park, sightseeing landmarks! Very nice welcome drinks offered, beautiful decor, beautiful room, big comfortable bed and spacious. Would suggest them to include a nespresso coffee mashine, as for such a hotel its a shame they offer the old kettle to do coffee! Also the carpet needs to be better cleaned or offer some room shoes! Other than that it was very good!

Convenient location: one block from metro at Tuileries Garden, 5-minute walk to La Madeleine church and shopping district, 5-minute walk to l’Orangerie, 10-minute walk to l’Orsay; many cafes and restaurants within two blocks. Friendly, professional staff welcomed us, gave important visitor info, and brought our bags up to our room. Gorgeous furnishings and decor in the sitting areas, restaurant, and breakfast room. A treat and note of gratitude was waiting in our room! Roomy bathroom, ample closet space, a mini-frig, and flatscreen tv in our twin (two twin beds) room. Excellent housekeeping service daily, and more treats and notes left for us during the week! Perfect in every way!

First trip to Paris with our 2 daughters and this (luxury) hotel brand left us disappointed. We expected rooms to be smaller since it was Europe, but didn't expect to feel like we were camping. Electrical in our kids room was not working on one side - hotel didn't respond to our requests. Our room had a toilet in a closet (smaller than an airplane lavatory) where you had to walk to the actual bathroom to use the sink. The mini refrigerator was not working in either room. Card key for room quickly became useless, needing to be replaced at least 3 times. No air conditioning, not sure if it was only heat because of this time of the year. We had to open windows to get air flow and were asked on 2 occasions to close them at the request of hotel staff. Breakfast options were limited for a lactose free diet. Rooms are not soundproof at all and elevators only could accommodate 2 people at a time. I knew to expect the differences, but it left me disappointed that I chose this hotel instead of Westin Vendome.…

Travelled in November 2022 Location of the property was excellent. a short walk to dining as well most of the sights for first time visitors. Staff and service are extremely helpful. Breakfast with a good variety, although fruits were limited and the only one coffee machine kept breaking. most of the chairs in the dining hall were squeaky and wobbly. The condition of the building is fair, but the rooms seriously need some updating. the twin box-spring mattresses were a pain-- literally felt like sleeping on a rock. they switched our rooms-- still the same issue. some rooms have weird design-- toilet in the middle of the "grand premium room" without a wash basin and had to walk across the room to wash hands, none of the toilets have a vent. Heating was not uniform and occasionally smelt like burning coal. overall, I would return here for the staff and location, but not for the actual condition of the room.…

I had high hopes for this hotel, having such a central location, a four star rating and being part of a well established group of hotels - however, I was wrong to assume this would be a good stay. Firstly, the bed. AWFUL. I’d rather have slept on the carpet. Far too firm, I awoke feeling achy and like I’d been dragged down the Champ-Elysee by Macarons horses. No double or king size bed, but two very uncomfortable single beds that have been pushed together, I despair. Next, the decor. With dirty carpet, stained curtains, paint flaking off the wall and multiple areas of bubbling wallpaper (perhaps damp?) - this hotel needs a serious overhaul and in my view not worthy of its star rating or rate it commands. Lastly, the bathroom. No shower, only an overhead hose, that comfortably accommodates only people of a short disposition. Frankly, this is unacceptable for a modern chain of hotels in 2022. Despite being such a worldly hotel, the TV only has two channels in English, both rolling news channels - with no ability to connect Netflix or YouTube via Chromecast. The worst however is yet to come. Despite having a do not disturb sign on the door, a staff member enters our room at 9am whilst my partner was still asleep. This is done after two knocks on the door, with the first being met with an audible HELLO?! This didn’t deter the male member of staff walking in on my sleeping and undressed partner - allowing anyone walking by to have a peep. Any normal member of staff would have apologized and walked away. However not this gentleman. He wanted an ARGUMENT, and proceeded to put the blame onto me, I had to shut the door in his face for him to go away. In summary - avoid! Best staying elsewhere. …
